Pre Covid I went there a few times for happy hour and it was amazing, if you could get a seat. I think it was Penne with sausage that was outstanding with really great wine.

Just ate there and I'm really disappointed. Reasons:

No Penne with sausage on the happy hour menu.

Reduced portions on happy hour menu. They even said they were reduced portions, and getting our food it was evident. I like happy hour, generally, because I feel like I'm getting a good deal, but not here... half price for an item means half the food.

We ordered mussels and with around 12 mussels 4 were closed, or dead when cooked. Why? How was this ok to serve? Maybe one slipped through, but 4??? And the server stated... oh, that is alot. It wasn't taken off the bill nor did we ask for it to be.

Overall I'm just disappointed. I love supporting local establishments and think it's really important in this Covid era, but this is silly. Half price entree at happy hour... is half a meal. Just be honest and name it a kids menu. Or have the happy hour menu with happy hour only food items.

Lastly, the restaurant looked closed when we walked up... put an open sign or something outside to show...

I ordered from the online menus and when I got to the restaurant, my bill had almost doubled. I asked why that was, they said those prices were changed 2 months ago. I said I understood however, the prices on the website were different. Then onother person came to look at the ticket and they said, well they were raised by $2.00. Not true I said. Then they called the owner, Nick, and he said, that yes they were changed 2-3 months ago. I explained that it's not reflected on the website but he offered me dessert. I told him I had a budget in mind, my children and I were looking forward to the dinner because it was my 1st time ordering take out from his restaurant. He said there was nothing he could do. I was so humiliated because this went on while other customers were standing behind me. I have dined at many restaurants in Scottsdale and I know there's not one owner, at least one with self respect, customer service, would have let a customer walk out of his or her restaurant. It wasn't a con, I ordered from his Website. Never again and any of my friends ask, I will not recommend...

Chianti tasted watered down. Not saying they added water to it, not saying they "didn't." All.im saying is I paid nearly $20 for two glasses of kool-aid. I also lrodered the pizza. Comes in one size only, 8 inches, for another $18. There's nothing great about this pizza whatsoever. Simple order, pepperoni, and cheese. It came out looking great, took a huge bite, and spit it into my napkin. It was extremely sweet, nothing at all what I was expecting. They, for some damn reason put sun-dried tomatoes in as the base instead of a regular red sauce. Very gross. Also, absolutely nothing on draft, so I had to spend $10 for a single bottle of Blue Moon. For the 4 beers I ordered, that hiked up the bill rather quickly. On top of all that, the service is extremely slow. If you're planning on drinking more than one drink, order them together, or you'll be sitting there dry for quite some time until they realize it's been 25 minutes since they've been to your table. Will not be returning, I highly advise you...
