Had the pleasure to deal with Shaun the Manager this morning, who I’ll refer to as Sleepy Shaun. Placed my mobile order and went to the drive thru. Not only was Sleepy Shaun barely responsive, but he gave me the wrong order. No problem. Parked my car and walked in, spoke to Shaun (he was half asleep, probably wasn’t aware he was clocked in) about my order, and he was persistent it was the right order, refusing to correct it. Sleepy Shaun also never offered to even refund my order (not sure how legal this is). My suggestion to Sleepy Shaun, don’t take the morning shift if you can’t follow basic instructions.
Went to the McDonald’s on Shea and they were much more responsible, responsive and best of all, not sleepy! Sleepy Shaun does not deserve his position at this McDonald’s.
Update: Samantha the general manager reached out to me and she was wonderful. I’ve been going to this McDonald’s for years and up until this review I haven’t had any issue with the food, service or staff. Read moreAs a person who works really hard, I would like to feel that I'm being taken care of in the most gentle & genuine way. Unfortunately, that was not the case tonight. My food was hot & ready to go it's just the customer service that I didn't care for. More specifically, the African American guy Malcolm was very dismissive, asked the same questions over & over, he rushed the food into my hands, even when he gave me my drink the top was half way off of the cup. I mentioned this to Malcolm and his exact words were "oh ok", and then he walked away from the window. He didn't come back to the window until I pulled off. The purpose for me telling him about the drink was because I didn't want him to make the mistake of possibly spilling a person's drink on them in an attempt to "get to the next customer". I noticed he didn't take it well so I drove off. Also the fries were drinched in Salt. I even got a slight headache and couldn't finish my entire meal because it seem like someone wasn't paying attention and just drinched the fries in a pool of salt. Read moreWent in for a drive-thru tonight a little after 10PM and ended up sitting at the very much on drive-thru screen for about 3 minutes with no response (I know, shame on me for sitting that long). After a car pulled in behind me I thought maybe the speaker was broken so decided to try going up to the window. Another minute or so there with no acknowledgement.
Pulled away from the window and around toward the street to get a look inside and sure enough there were two employees inside taking to each other in the kitchen. What's worse, one of the two was standing out front when I pulled into the drive-thru and didn't mention that they were closed. If open, one would think it would dawn on him that there was no order in the queue...
Not impressed to say the least and have had a number of other occasions with far less than stellar service at this location.
Do yourself a favor and shoot down to the McDonalds on Shea. Always good...
