Where is the "zero stars" option when you need it most? This location puts "American Chinese Cuisine" to shame. When I sent my husband through the drive-thru to retrieve my favorite "teriyaki chicken & fried rice bowl" meal, he called to inform me that they were out of the chicken. So, I chose a "Peppered Angus Steak & Fried Rice bowl". My husband returned home with my meal selection and as soon as I opened it I was suspicious because it appeared to be regular steamed white rice. As I took one bite, it became clear that it was in fact white rice! Listen, let's get one thing clear; I fully understand that fried rice is fried & seasoned/sauced white rice- but the two items are to taste nothing alike ok? I called this establishment, but no to avail. Finally, I drove up there myself with food in hand and proceeded inside where I politely explained my situation to an employee behind the counter. Another employee was brought over where I again explained my dilemma. She repeatedly kept telling me I was wrong that it was fried rice until another customer (of asian descent) stepped closer to examine the concoction labeled "fried rice" in the meal prep/presentation case in front and said, "actually, that's just white rice with sauce drizzled in it along with veggies added. If it was fried rice, it would be a darker tan in color and taste different than what you have here." She made the meal over, but with the SAME rice! I literally took the bag and dumped it in the garbage and walked out. I WILL NEVER step foot in this Panda...
Read moreAfter arriving home and finding out I did not get the walnut shrimp I ordered (I was given chicken) , I returned to the store. The manager on duty said he would give me a fresh batch and I just had to wait but it was already late and I didn't want to wait. I told him I wanted a refund and then he told me the bag I brought my food in wasn't a Panda Express bag. I'm not an idiot, I know it wasn't, the bag they gave me had sauce spilled everywhere inside of it and got on my hand and shirt so that's why I put it in a different plastic bag before leaving home to come back. He then told me that I was only going to get a refund for the bowl and not the whole ordered. Um, that's not what I was asking for, I felt like he was trying to accuse me of trying to scam him (which I don't even how I would do that). He didn't say a word to me, walked away and came back from the drive through register and gave me cash back. He didn't even offer to put it back on my card (I just moved from out of state and have yet to change banks). He handed me the cash without a word and walked away. He never bothered to apologized for them messing up my order and having to come back to the store. Having been a shift leader for years in the food industry, I was appalled by his behavior. I would have been written up if I ever treated a customer the way he did with me. This all happened on 7/27/2019 just...
Read moreHad this been my first visit to Panda Express, it would also have been my last.
The restaurant was busy, but not packed. I stood, second in line for more than ten minutes without being acknowledged, watching as one female employee stood stirring items over and over again, at the serving station, seemingly oblivious to the world around her.
When, it finally came to my turn, I was served by, what appeared to be the only hustling employee there, a young, African American lady. Kudos to her, but shame on her coworkers.
I took a sip of the soda, and there was virtually no syrup. It tasted like sweetened, carbonated water. But, having waited awhile for the food itself, I thought it unlikely that anyone would even acknowledge my complaint in any reasonable amount of time.
I got the food home.
My daughter and I always order the same foods: chow mein with walnut shrimp, and a side of ragoons. The chow mein tasted like heavily salted spaghetti. All of the breading had fallen off every last shrimp. The sauce had a bizarre bitter taste that reminded me of the taste of an unripened banana.Meanwhile, the ragoons were soggy and undercooked.
This meal, was unequivocally, the worst tasting meal, I’ve had in...
