Nestled in the heart of Scottsdale , Peacock is a delightful gem that promises an unforgettable journey through the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
Ambiance: 5/5 The restaurant boasts a beautifully curated interior that combines traditional Indian elements with modern aesthetics. The soft lighting, intricate woodwork, and colorful artwork create a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Whether you're on a romantic date or a family outing, the setting is perfect for any occasion.
Service: 5/5 The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and drinks they serve. Our server was more than happy to guide us through the menu, offering recommendations and insights into the various dishes. The service was prompt without feeling rushed, allowing us to savor each course.
Food: 5/5 Now, let's dive into the star of the show: the food. Peacock excels in delivering authentic Indian flavors while also catering to a diverse range of palates.
We started with the Paneer Tikka, marinated in a delightful blend of spices and grilled to perfection. The smoky flavor and tenderness of the paneer were simply divine. Chicken tikka was delicious and tasty
For the main course, we opted for the chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani veg pula and veg biriyani. We order extra spice and extra hot. That was damn spicy and hot as expected. Veg dumplings biriyani and pulav conquers the flavour where kids eat with out spice.
We also tried the chicken tandoori Biryani, which was a fragrant and flavorful rice dish, generously loaded with tender pieces of marinated thigh chicken and a medley of spices. It was served with a side of cooling raita, which balanced the spice beautifully.
To round off our meal, we indulged in the cheese cake for dessert. The cake was loaded with blueberry cream on the top which looked absolutely stunning and tasty
Pricing: 4/5 While peacock an exquisite dining experience, it is slightly on the pricier side compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience justify the cost.
Overall: 4.8/5 Peacock is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine in a refined setting. With its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and mouthwatering dishes, it’s clear that this restaurant is a labor of love. Whether you're a lifelong fan of Indian food or a newcomer to its rich flavors, Peacock will surely leave you with a satisfied palate , vibrating experience and a...

Peacock Indian Bar and Grill offers a refreshing departure from the typical dark and traditional ambiance of most Indian restaurants. Its vibrant, well-lit interiors are undeniably striking, though the overall aesthetic feels slightly mismatched—the sleek walls and lighting clash with the more pedestrian design of the tables and booths. Nonetheless, it’s clear this is an establishment aiming to bring modern flair to Indian dining.
Our visit, however, was a mixed bag. While we didn’t come in with the highest expectations (having been burned by other modern Indian concepts like Feringhee Modern Indian Cuisine), Peacock shows potential. Unfortunately, that potential was overshadowed by a series of missteps, starting with the wait. Due to an ordering system glitch, it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive—a frustrating delay that the staff, to their credit, acknowledged and tried to make amends for.
The service, though well-meaning, felt like that of a team still finding its rhythm. As for the food, the results were inconsistent.
The Highlights:
The mango lassi stood out, with its thoughtful infusion of cardamom adding a layer of complexity absent in other versions.
The presentation of the tandoori prawns was Instagram-worthy, with the prawns arranged around a covered slice of pineapple.
The Lowlights:
The prawns, while visually appealing, were a letdown in flavor and texture. Initially served chewy and cold—reminiscent of improperly thawed seafood—they improved slightly after being recooked. Still, at $22, the dish didn’t justify its price.
The butter chicken had potential, boasting a deep, homemade flavor profile. However, it was served lukewarm and lacked salt, an oversight that dulled its impact until we added seasoning ourselves.
The garlic naan was serviceable but unremarkable—hardly the standout accompaniment you’d hope for.
To their credit, the staff handled our dissatisfaction with grace and generosity. They comped an extra mango lassi, treated us to an off-menu gulab jamun cheesecake (a delightful surprise), and discounted the prawn dish by 50%. Their willingness to address issues is a hopeful sign for the restaurant’s future.
For now, Peacock Indian Bar and Grill feels like a work in progress. With better kitchen timing, more attention to detail, and some fine-tuning in execution, this could easily become one of Scottsdale's go-to Indian restaurants. I plan to give it six months before revisiting—by then, I hope it will have matured into the standout spot it aspires to be. 3/5, with...
Read moreWe are here on Valentine’s Day. By the time we reach it was full and busy. Front desk person mentioned that it will take around 40 minutes to get a table. We have our name and number, but we didn’t receive any call back. After 45 mins we went to the restaurant back, then after waiting for 15 minutes more we got a table. Again after waiting for 15 minutes at the table the person came to take the order. They are not even caring about the customer service, like checking napkins, water on the table. we were at the table it is not even busy.
We ordered samosa chat, chicken thikka tacos and chicken biryani. After long waiting of 40 minutes, finally person bought the samosa chat. Again after 15 minutes they bought the biryani and saying that for the tacos it might take 5-10 mins more and saying that we can cancel the tacos if needed. I was surprised, after waiting of almost an hour, they were simply saying we can cancel the order if we don’t want to wait. Very very frustrating. I mentioned as it will be ready in 10 minutes, I can wait. And we started eating biryani. By the time we completed biryani also the tacos were not ready. Then asked the person to cancel and asked him to bring the check. Then he is saying they started preparing. Now my feeling was unexplainable. I was frustrated a lot inside. I started saying like it is not at all fair and this is not the way of treating a customer. Then the person was showing on me, saying that they were only few people working.
The expensive restaurant like this should manage the customer service in similar way how you are charging the items. Even the food is not up to the mark.
Samosa chat - decent and tastes good. Chicken biryani - worst, better change the name of the dish. Chicken tikka tacos - okay, tastes little bitter because of over masala.
It is very bad experience for us. If the restaurant owners looks for better feedback and wants more customers to come, they should concentrate on customer service like receiving, talking to customers, serving the food on time and concentrating on food taste. I suggest please serve the food which you can...
