Not at all a good experience I won’t be returning I felt like the customer service was not up to my standards. I felt like the place was somewhat poorly ran. I did not enjoy the food. The food felt somewhat stale and unfresh to me. The bread felt like it was stale or expired, I did not feel like the cleanliness of this place was up to my standards. I will not be returning my father‘s estate legislator. I’m good friends with most of the politicians here in Arizona. I have my own radio show and I have a huge social media following and I’m just trying to share that I didn’t enjoy my experience. The food could’ve been a lot tastier. I figured it’s a newer place. I wanted to check it out for the first time, but I just didn’t feel like I got a good first impression walking in that door and walking out that door. I didn’t feel like the weight staff really cared about whether I enjoyed my visit or not , this was a while back and I still haven’t gotten like any type of apology or let’s offer you like a free meal. I’m so sorry cause that’s all somebody has to do right for me to take down this bad review but no one‘s taking the time to write me, it’s crazy it’s like they don’t even want my business And they know like I know a lot of people that I’m telling people to not go to this business and a lot of my friends and family will not go to this business at all because I told them about my experience. I wish it would’ve been a happier experience. I really did. It had good reviews and look like the food was gonna be good you know and I brought this up to you know , the people need to bring this up to you and unfortunately no one seem to care to you know make my order right or make my ride so I have a choice where I go in this world what restaurant I go to and I just won’t be returning to this restaurant I’ll save my money and I recommend you guys save your money too. You don’t wanna have a bad experience you don’t wanna have a bad customer service interactions when you walk in you want everyone to be friendly you want the manager in charge to be friendly you want people to care about your experience you want people to You know serve you good quality wholesome food right because there’s 1 million different places right we all know you can go to so many different sandwich places out there but why do people choose sneaky birds because they were expecting good quality wholesome food when people don’t get good quality, wholesome food they go elsewhere. It’s pretty much that simple you have one chance in the restaurant industry to give somebody good impression specially to a new restaurant and if you don’t, then you lose the customer forever that’s how it works , so I feel really bad. I hate that I have to write a bad review. I would’ve much rather written a good review and said how much I love the food there and how much I love the place and ran and raved about this place but unfortunately it wasn’t the case the experience sucked the food sucked the customer service sucked. It just wasn’t the standards and I know it can change and I know it we can become better but I’m not willing to give it a chance to become better. I am pretty much like that. That was my first time there and it sucked And it would’ve been different. I think of the very next day the founder didn’t just respond to good reviews. He also responded to bad reviews and he said look man I know you walked into my restaurant and I see you had a bad experience with my manager I’m so so sorry that happened. I see the food wasn’t up to your standards. I apologize. Let me make it up for you you know let me give you a voucher for 100 bucks you know you can take you and your family over here I’ll be there personally ask for me. I’ll be the one making your food like I wanna make sure you have a good experience. I’m so sorry I wanna make this up to you. Let me make this up to you and I’ll bring me my whole family there we would let this gentleman know make it up to us. We try the food once again see how it is and if it’s good, we look past that first time, but...
Read moreSneaky Bird, a fledgling addition to Scottsdale's bustling culinary scene on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, piqued my curiosity with its unique proposition: chicken that tastes as indulgent as if it were fried, yet never meets the oil. As a new establishment, it radiates ambition, aiming to carve out its niche in the saturated chicken market. During my visit, I sampled a range of their offerings, including the chicken sandwich and wings, accompanied by an array of sauces.
The restaurant presents itself with an air of sophistication, striving to emulate the polished feel of a franchise, though it's clear there's room for refinement. The interior, while pleasant, hints at an identity still in the throes of development. This theme of promising yet unfulfilled potential extends to the dining experience itself.
Sneaky Bird's culinary approach, eschewing frying for a healthier preparation method, is commendable. However, the aftermath of the meal belies its health-conscious allure; one doesn't depart feeling the lightness typically associated with wholesome fare. The flavors, while satisfactory, lack the distinctive zest that compels a diner to eagerly plan their next visit.
It's not to say the quality of the food is lacking; the ingredients and execution exhibit a clear commitment to standards. Nevertheless, the concept doesn't quite deliver the revolutionary impact it seemingly aspires to. In a realm where Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane's, and Popeyes reign supreme, the competition is fierce, and distinctiveness is key.
To the ardent chicken aficionado, Sneaky Bird warrants a try, offering a new take on a familiar favorite. Yet, when reflecting on the broader spectrum of available options, it's hard to shake the feeling that this addition, while welcome, may not be essential. The quest to stand out in the crowded chicken space is a formidable one, and while Sneaky Bird has laid its foundation, only time will tell if its wings are strong enough to soar...
Read moreI'll be coming back. I've had a 6 peice tenders and tots a couple of times and really liked it.
Food: The tenders were all good - consistently sized, crispy, juicy, and as someone controlling their carbs, just the right amount of breading. I enjoy the selection of a variety of dry seasoning and dipping sauce combos to keep things interesting. The tots, although everything is baked, were decently crispy and seasoned, really I love a super crispy deep fried tot but I enjoy these too. For me these tots are better than the potato option at most places. Biggest plus - your food is cooked when you order so it's always super fresh and hot.
Packaging: Special call out for the packaging because it's kind of amazing compared to most places. It's cardboard with a ventilated false bottom and keeps your food crispy far better than any other I've seen without getting greasy on the outside and while also being made of a biodegradable material. On top of that it fit my meal perfectly. It's the only place I've gotten food where the packaging feels like someone cares about it looking appetizing and not just contained. Presentation is part of the eating experience so I want to give props here.
Dining area: The decor is nice, the seating wasn't uncomfortable, everything seems clean, and there are only a few TVs on one wall if you find them distracting. I found the music was pretty decent and at a reasonable level but I didn't dwell because I had things to do.
Pricing: For 6 strips and tots I think I paid $13 and got what felt like a complete and filling high protein meal, fresh baked to order, prepared with care. This is pretty in line for the area for a chicken strip meal while also delivering what seems to be better quality and consistency than most.
In all it's a simple shop that focuses on doing a few meals well for a good price,...
