The Blind Pig is a wonderful place to dine in at- whether youâre outside or inside. If you do choose outside seating as I did, their patio is fitted with misters that made sitting outside rather pleasant, lots of umbrellas, and natural shade from the palms, a very nice combination. This is family owned spot is where I will be brunching at F O R E V E R. I didnât get a photo of their cold pressed juices (I ended up trying two of their four juice items because theyâre delicious) but I recommend you try them; they are made-to-order and a menu item I value seeing in general, but especially now that summer is fully upon us. My mother and I shared the Cowboy Benedict pictured (1/2). I was amazed by how the plate worked together flavorwise. Sometimes itâs just a âseparate items sharing the same spaceâ deal. Not here. The hash browns by themselves though? Iâve never had a better hashbrown (it sounds dramatic but go see for yourself). They were crunchy where they were supposed to be, soft where they were supposed to be, and SO FULL OF FLAVOR. The Benedict itself? Also so full of flavor and absolutely delicious on its own, but paired together with the hashbrowns was another level of amazing. The second item we shared was the Lemon Blueberry French Toast. It was another delicious dream. It was not heavy but full of syrup and flavor. They were very generous with the blueberries which made both of us very happy. The people running the Blind Pig really know what theyâre doing and are very kind. Our server was very personable and had great timing with our food, bill, and drink necessities. Itâs hard to find a âperfectâ dining experience- Blind Pig provides that effortlessly. Again, Itâs a great spot to be, having a great family make delicious food for you. Iâm really looking forward to exploring...
Read moreWe have been going to this restaurant for several years and recently heard it was under new ownership, Brandon and Michelle (Micky). Thought we would check it out, and we are glad we did! First stop, last weekend for a Saturday breakfast/brunch. Service was excellent (Michelle, not the owner, the other Michelle). Walked us through the updated menu. Started with a Grapefruit mimosa (tasty and a great value). We shared the Italian Benny, a unique and delicious take on eggs Benedict . Yummy pesto sauce, eggs cooked perfectly and served on polenta instead of English muffin. Awesome! One thing we did not try, but a couple at a table next to us did, was the donuts! 4 donuts with the donut holes filled with homemade Cannoli filling, they said it was delicious. As we finished Michelle showed us the dinner menu, and it looked great, so last night we went for dinner. A whole different vibe at dinner time. Very relaxed atmosphere. We were greeted by one of the owners, Micky. For drinks, we orders a bottle of a very good and well priced Chianti, very tasty and paired well with food. We started with an Antipasti called BOCCONCINI al FORNO, BAKED BOCCONCINI, PROSCIUTTO di PARMA, MARINARA, BASIL, HOUSE FOCCACIA. It was very very yummy, we ate half to save room for the main course, Pappardelle Bolognese. This is one of our favorites Italian dishes, and they did it perfectly. The meat ragĂș was awesome, past cooked just right. A definite hit! We passed on desert, but Marty served us a complimentary house made Limoncillo, excellent way to top of the meal. The Blind Pig is a hit!! We...
Read moreGreat staff and amazing service!!t our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and we got two of the items she recommended. The short rib breakfast tacos were the bomb!! These aren't cheesy little street tacos, no they were an amazing combination of short rib, scrambled eggs, hash brown, cheese and an excellent sauce. The order was huge, way more than I expected. The other item was the Cowboy Benedict's, a lend of grilled biscuits, fried eggs, cheese, and country and green Chile hollandaise. Hash browns on the side. Even the drinks were great,I had the bloody Mary, we had a "Big Lebowski" aka the White Russian, and we also had a Lynchburg Lemonade all perfectly crafted. Ah, there was one more thing. The beignets with raspberry jam we're out of this world. Ranking right up there with the best beignets I have ever had. Give this place tucked away in a strip mall a try, you will not be disappointed!!
UPDATE: The menu is completely different! The beignets are completely different. They are little pretentious donuts with some mouse inedible flowers, not the New Orleans square beignets with powdered sugar and raspberry jam. The menu is very small and some of the good items from before aren't there anymore. One waitress on a Sunday morning and the place was very busy, don't understand that. We were very disappointed with our visit. I will never understand why people tinker with a successful thing, but they are busy and I wish them luck. I won't...
