So the last time we went to Mario’s for lunch my daughter and I had Pasta and my 2 year old had the pizza and salad bar, when I asked what kind of pizza they had at the pizza and salad bar she said pepperoni, supreme and Alfredo I believe. I was like oh okay and the young nice girl said she could ask if they could make a cheese because my son doesn’t eat meats usually on his pizza and they only have 3 pizzas at a time. When she went over to the owner or manager to ask him she pointed at my table and he rolled his eyes. So needless to say one was never made and we had our lunch. Today we went to have lunch there with my husband. We had a different waitress with a super long ponytail. She was obviously over sat and it took us awhile to get service. When she did come she took our orders, had the busser bring us our drinks and didn’t return other than dropping off my daughter’s pasta. She never checked if we needed refills so both my kids had no lemonade from the time I sat down to eat until we left. She was in the back for a long time so we never got the chance to ask her for more. When she did come to the front she was sitting and talking with the to go girl (who was my waitress the time before). My husband had to go and ask her for a box to go for our daughters pasta. She also never brought my 4 year old any dough to play with until we asked after she delivered her food. When we were leaving, after we had paid and were standing to leave, my husband asked for another small box in the front, the waitress with the long hair approached him from behind because she was listening and very quickly and rudely replied for what?! He turned around surprised and said oh it’s for my daughter’s dough? She said oh. Idk if she thought we were trying to steal food or why she would assume we had any ill intentions instead of saying of course have a good day, but I don’t think the service was up to par today and considering the last experience I had, I thought it was apt to mention it today. Be wary, the food is always good, we have ordered here for years, we have had dinner after baseball, we have ordered tons for our baseball league, we have brought family here from out of town, but during lunch the service was...
Read moreFood was wonderful, however our server was severely lacking! She asked I she could take our order and just as my brother was about to open his mouth to speak, she whisked off to another table and left us. Then once we finally ordered, (I ordered an entreé that comes with bread and salad, and I have never dined in here before) I kept expecting her to bring me a side salad or bring me a salad bowl for the salad bar, she never told me I would need to go get a salad and the plates were located at the salad bar. That would have been nice. When she brought our food she never once asked if we needed a refill on beverages, even though she took our empty bottles and glasses away, leaving us with just the glasses of water we had. Halfway thru my meal I had to flag her down when I saw her and ask her if my entrée was supposed to come with bread, she kind of rolled her eyes and said yes, I'll get it. She must have looked for the hardest, oldest bread she could find because she literally brought me a rock that was so hard it wouldn't even soak up the watery pasta sauce on my plate. Again she never asked if we needed refills or another drink. We had to sit for about another 20 minutes after we finished eating before we finally saw her again to ask for to go boxes, which she brought and gave us our check at the same time. My brother looked at the check and found we had been charged for a $28. Bottle of wine that we never ordered, (we only had two beers because we were never asked if we wanted more drinks!) The lady at the counter had to go find our server to be told "oh, I charge to wrong table" 🤯 Needless to say we don't normally stiff wait staff on a tip, quite the contrary we normally tip 15 - 25% depending on our service, but this one was flat out stiffed! She ignored our needs so we ignored hers! I get places are hurting for staff, but I truly hope they think about letting her go and replacing her. Rude and unattentive is not the way to keep customers coming back.
But the food was...
Read moreI am a motor coach operator and a former deputy sheriff. I drove a group of teachers and students to Nasa in Sea Brook Tx. The group requested to be taken to Mario's pizza on NASA parkway. I dropped group by front entrance and went to park my bus. I entered restraunt and felt that i was being ignored so i got up to get my own menu since one was not offered yo me. I finally ordered my meal and recieved it well after my group had gotten their pizzas. Ater rushing to eat my meal before group was ready to depart i recieved my bill. I got up and walked to register to pay for my meal and a young man said that i could pay him so that i wouldnt have to wait in line. My bill was 17.00 i gave the young man 22.00 and told him to keep the change.I motioned to one of the teachersto tell him that i was going to get bus ready for departure Shortly there after a teacher comes out to bus and states that they were calling me back into restraunt because i did not pay my bill. There are many establishments that are grateful that bus operators bring them alot of business and usually comp our meals. Not this place. I would never recommend this place to anyone nor would i ever step foot into this estBlishment again. I was embarrased and humiliated! I have never asked for anything forfree and always offered to pay for what i want. I dont expect anything for free but i am always...
