If you’re planning a visit to the Johnson Space Center or Kemah Boardwalk and need a place of lodging, there are several in the surrounding area from which to choose, most of which are quite similar in amenities and comparable in price. If you’re looking for a moderate hotel that should suit your needs and budget, then consider the Quality Inn & Suites in Seabrook, Texas. ||Two stories tall and with about sixty rooms, this modest place of lodging has most of what you need for a trouble-free stay. I stayed in a room with a king size bed, which was comfortable, and I had no problem getting the temperature of the room to my liking. There is a sitting chair, desk and chair, refrigerator, microwave, and television in the room, as well as coffee maker, iron and ironing board, etc. All the minimum expectations are met inside the rooms. ||Looking at the rest of the hotel, it has a small fitness center, business center with one computer, and even a small outdoor pool in the front of the building. Parking is free and so is breakfast every morning. Ending the breakfast service at 9am is a little too early, but that is how the schedule is set currently. The breakfast is okay; nothing gourmet, but certainly a good start to the day and served with a smile. ||Quality Inn & Suites Seabrook is across the street from Clear Lake and most of what you need in terms of food, drink, gasoline, etc is nearby, some of it within walking distance. One standout to me is the friendly service. They want your stay to be the best it can be and they are ready and willing to make things as convenient as possible. Check- out is one good example. I was ready to leave and one of the personnel was standing outside my door when I opened it to leave. She took my room card and told me the check- out was complete. There was no need to visit the front desk. ||The Seabrook area has many hotels competing for your dollars. Quality Inn & Suites Seabrook isn’t going to win any awards for luxury, but for a modest hotel, it does succeed at most levels, and it earns a...
Read moreThis hotel had an extremely high rating online and there are signs posted around the hotel that says it is rated well. There is also a sign at the desk and in the room that states if there is a problem to let them know and they will take care of it or refund part of your stay. Well, they are really nice, but understaffed. The lady who checked us in was nice and told me lots about the area, but she forgot to tell me about the stuff in the room that did not work. The TV showed splotchy...go to the phone to call and at first can't find one. Then when I do, it does not work. The only elevator is at the opposite end of the hotel, so I run down the stairs to tell her the TV and phone don't work and she says "Oh, I forgot to tell you." The maintenance person could not be located, so she has to leave the front desk to come up to the room and try to fix the TV, which worked well until in the middle of the night and then I was not getting dressed to run downstairs for someone to come fix it. Well, while she was there for the TV I asked about the safe, which was not plugged in. "Oh, I forgot to tell you, that does not work either." Asked for another room, because according to her our room and the one next door had problems. There was no other room, so I had all my valuables in my purse walking around Kemah Boardwalk. Heavy! We had family staying there and could not call room to room. But most importantly could not call front desk or get a wake up call. I have stayed at Choice Hotels but this was my first time at a Quality Inn. There are other choices on that street and even a Comfort Suites across the street. I recommend you try one of those. And no I did not get a refund of any part of my stay. Manager thanked me for completing the comment card and said they would try to do better. I told you they were nice. Hotel just needs some work. Nice bed and breakfast and...
Read moremy parents stayed at Quality Inn Suite while they’re in town for my wedding, and it was a great experience for them and myself. The location in Seabrook is convenient, with easy access to Kemah, NASA, and other nearby areas. It's also just a short drive from where I live in Bacliff.
Initially when we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised to find out the owner, David, can speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. This was a huge help for my parents, who don't speak English. After a long flight relying on translation devices, having someone to communicate with in their native language put them at ease right away.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The proximity to Kemah Boardwalk was a plus, allowing us to enjoy the seaside and nearby restaurants. When we needed to extend my parents’ stay on the 23rd but the hotel was fully booked, David spent hours checking for cancellations and even helped us secure a room at another local hotel. And he also gave me a sake gift after hearing about my wedding, which was really sweet
Rebecca, David’s wife gave us a number of local tourist recommendations, from seafood restaurants to community spots, were really useful.
During my parents stay, my dad got a cold, David provided cold medicine and a case of bottled water immediately without charge
Besides the clean room, convenient location, nice hotel breakfast selection. This hotel has hands down the best...
