Let me tell you about my experience at David’s Burgers. I walked in expecting a burger, but I walked out with a life-changing spiritual awakening. As I approached the counter, I was greeted by an employee who seemed more enthusiastic than a caffeinated squirrel. He asked me how I was doing, and before I could answer, he slid a basket of fries in front of me like some kind of potato wizard.
The burger itself? Oh, my friends, it was more than just a burger. It was like biting into a cloud of beefy bliss. Every bite felt like a journey through flavor realms unknown to mankind. The patty was so juicy I needed a snorkel to eat it safely. The cheese was melted to a consistency that could only be described as “liquid gold.” And don’t get me started on the lettuce—it was crisper than a bedtime story from a grandma who just invented lettuce.
Halfway through the meal, the lights dimmed, and a man in a giant pickle costume waltzed over to my table to serenade me with a medley of ‘80s power ballads. By the end, I was convinced he was my long-lost cousin.
Just as I thought it couldn’t get any better, they brought out a milkshake thicker than the plot of a daytime soap opera. I practically had to bench press the straw to get any liquid, but when I did, my taste buds exploded in a fireworks display of joy.
Would I come back to David’s Burgers? Absolutely. Not only for the food but also because I’m fairly certain they are hiding a portal to another dimension...
Read moreDave’s Burgers is an experience. I visited the Searcy location and as soon I entered the first set of doors, I was welcomed by two young ladies. Then i saw a beautiful case of fresh ingredients. I wasn’t born in 1950’s or 60’s, but I felt like i transported back in time to an atmosphere that welcomed everyone. Kaelan walked me to the counter to take my order. All of a sudden, I heard many hello’s and welcomes from many of the other employees.
The single smashed burger sat on a layer of pepper jack cheese, then piled with fresh locally grown lettuce, thin onion slices, pickles , and a tomato, with a thin layer of mayo which is made in house.
After I sat, I was greeted by Mary Ann, Judith (who also cleaned my table), and Kristine. I was offered hot fries first by Jewels and then the other young ladies as I enjoyed my meal and was brought a small drizzle of vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream. I was so full!
What I loved most was that the employees seem to enjoy where they worked.
They also have three non-gender single room restrooms and two are family friendly.
Honestly, I’ve made a better burger at home (because I’m self-proclaimed) chef, but I would definitely visit again, just for the fries, greetings, and happy...
Read moreIf you're craving a fresh, made-to-order burger experience, this Arkansas-owned gem is a must-visit. Every burger is cooked to order, and you can really taste the difference—juicy, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. They don’t cut corners, and it shows in every bite.
One of the best parts of the experience is the unlimited fries. Instead of serving a big pile all at once, the staff walk around and offer fresh, hot fries straight from the fryer. It’s a fun and generous touch that makes the meal feel more personal and keeps everything hot and crisp throughout. On our last visit, we were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a free sample of their ice cream. It was a small gesture, but it really left a great impression. The ice cream was creamy and delicious—just the right way to end the meal.
The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, always making you feel welcome and appreciated. It’s the kind of place where hospitality is clearly a priority.
My only wish is that they had a location in Jonesboro. It would be an instant hit here. Until then, it's definitely worth the drive. Great food, great people, and proudly Arkansas-owned—what more could...
