Came here with a group of 8 people and it was a quiet Sunday night. It's definitely a hole in the wall so we were a bit skeptical. Our server promptly sat us and I just have to say he's as swift as can be, with the quickness, we liked that! I should also say within 15 minutes after us arriving people started quickly trickling in, and we realized why the place was packed, we just got lucky we got there before the herd.
I ordered the regular Sui-Kau & Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and i was not disappointed at all whatsoever. In fact it was the best beef noodle soup I've ever had.
Broth - so on point, i loved that they didn't use star anise like most places use. It didn't taste too oily either, just a nice hearty beef broth.
Bok Choy instead of Cabbage pieces, oh you fancy huh? ...or maybe i just tend to go to cheap a$$ places for my beef noodle soup..but wait, this place is cheap too.....DOUBLE SCORE!
Nice big chunky tender pieces of beef brisket and just the right amount of fat on it - yes!
And the Sui-Kau : I'm so glad I asked the server what that was, I was mind blown. He told me from the get the popular choice was the wonton & beef brisket noodle soup, and i didn't know what the hell sui-kau is but in the pictures it looked just like wontons so i had to know.
so what is it exactly: it's pretty much the same thing as wonton but BETTER because instead of just the shrimp/pork mixture there's also shiitake mushrooms and bamboo shoots mixed in. NOW WE AT TRIPLE SCORE!
All around, great family owned spot. We could see the dad making the wontons and you could taste the freshness! If i ever go back to seattle this is definitely a spot i have to go to!

Read moreI rediscovered this restaurant recently. May have been over 10+ years when I visited when it was at a different location. It moved, but I was unable to find it given I only knew of its Chinese name way back then.
Visited this location on May 6, 2022 around 5:30 p.m. with my daughter. There was only one other customer in the restaurant when we came in. Based on previous experience, I ordered the "dry" Beef Brisket thin noodles with soup on the side. Daughter decided on Beef Brisket and Won Ton fat noodle soup. (Yes you have a choice of 4 different kinds of noodles.) The wait staff was pleasant, and the meal was delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. I traded some beef pieces with my daughter for 2 won tons.
Just rating my dish - The flavors of the sauce were on the mild side. The chili sauce condiment lacks kick and was not spicy enough. The noodles were a little under cooked. If they were in soup, they may have soften further to my preferred consistency. The beef brisket was flavorful, but still a little sinewy. The vegetable stalk was sliced thinly, which is unusual for such a dish. (Maybe to save money?) The Won Ton was on the smaller side and was a disappointment. Despite the shortcomings, the meal was fine, considering I've not eaten it in a LONG time. My current rating falls between 2.5 and 3 out of 5 stars. (Daughter rated her meal average too.) Shall have to visit again to make sure my assessment is correct. Considering the price paid, the value is not quite there. On the plus side the place is roomy, and does not feel cramped like some of its competitors. Overall, it was a very filling meal despite it not being large.
I highly recommend you explore other similar places as well for comparison....
Read moreI tried Canton Wonton House at the Lunar New Year festival the other day. I had a $6 bowl of their wonton soup and by the end of the festival, looped back around for another one. It was the only place I went back to for seconds.
Today I ordered them for delivery on Uber Eats. Their prices are very fair especially for the quality and amount of food given.
Their pork and shrimp wontons are bouncy, juicy and filling. The broth is simple yet flavorful and clear - I love it with their chili oil paste. Their noodles have a complimentary flavor and good bite even for being very thin. They deserve some hype!
If I had the money to help them renovate their space, I would do it. They work hard, have kids and produce quality food. They deserve a quality upgrade like many of the delicious restaurants in the...
