This place is amazing! I am very picky about my Mexican food. The food is México City style. I was once asked by a weird white woman where i was from originally, before i was born. She wanted to know my ethnicity but kept asking me where i was born, where i was from, where i originated from and really really from. I answered her that i was from Idaho, born in Idaho and really from Idaho but originated in the hospital in Idaho. She finally asked me what languages i spoke i said Spanish was my first language. She then proceeded to tell me how she and husband had taken a trip to my motherland of Mexico. They rented a scooter and went to a restaurant in Cozumel where they sold "authentic" tacos for $20 a plate. Well Casa del Mariachi is what i would consider the food that my mom and aunts would put on the table on any ole day. I bet Casa del Mariachi is better than the tacos that weird woman had in Cozumel and cheaper even without the plane ticket and scooter...

The food was very fresh and unique tasting. I understand why people like this place so much, but I wasn't into it I felt it was generally lacking seasoning and many things just missed what I expect from a Mexican restaurant.

For example they served chips with bean dip. This is always a plus when a restaurant does that. But this wasn't a dip it was more like bean water. The flavor was okay, but every bite resulted in brown dribbles on the table.

I ordered the Fajitas and they were more Mexican street taco stir fry than something I would call Fajitas. No sizzling plate, mini tortillas, and a rather small portion size for one of the most expensive items on the menu.

Service was not great. Some items that were ordered were not received. Enchiladas were chicken instead of Cheese as ordered.

I appreciate the effort but doubt I will go back with so many other good places in the...

I went here solely based on the positive reviews. While the food was decent, the portions felt like they were for kids. I had 5 spoon of rice on my entree, five! It was outrageous. Everything else (chicken, sour cream etc) on my plate was barely there. 1-2 tablespoon of pico and sour cream. My chicken also had that “chicken” aftertaste. No beans with my entree. Barely any chips/salsa for the two of us (Not complaining here since it was free but anyway). The host started off friendly but deliberately started ignoring us later (not because it was busy). Summary, don’t trust the photos you see in the reviews. I have absolutely no idea who is “happy” with the portion sizes here. It is literally the worst restaurant I have been to in terms of portion size and price. And get this, I spent 45 for two entree that barely had any food. I would have left a 1 star but the food wasn’t...

Texans, don’t come here looking for your fajita fix. We have been here a couple of times and it is hit or miss. Carnitas were extra tasty last time. The enchilada trio plate was a fun way to experience the different sauces. I wish the beans and rice had a little more garlic. Fajitas did make me sad. The beef had a lot of gristle I couldn’t chew, and they were served with marginally cool factory tortillas. Margaritas taste fresh, and not too mix-y. Service is fast and friendly. Green sauce is tangy and the red sauce is spicy and flavorful. We will be back and try other items. The fried fish looks amazing in other people’s reviews.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle and around! Always delicious, always friendly service! We were lucky enough to also have a gathering here with our family before our wedding too. They were so wonderful and made us feel so warm and special! Recommend the fried fish with beans and salad, Carnitas burrito with the red and green sauce, their pork ribs in green sauce is amazing too! You won't be disappointed, stop by and give casa del mariachi a try! We used to live around the corner, and now we're in the south end, but we still make our way to have some yummy food and say hello!
