Okay, I've eaten at Coastline many times, but... Over i'd say the last couple of years it's gotten worse, not better. The burger! Well, it's a cheap thin patty and it doesn't look that appealing (think Mcdonalds, maybe not that grey color though). The bun while it's a different style bun than traditional, it's very dry. In fact I think the entire burger is very dry almost like it's 95% lean meat. Fat is flavor so I deduct a lot from this burger because of it's lack of juiciness. The accoutrements like the onion and pickles are fresh, added points there, but that's where it kind of ends. The burger, is like maybe 20% smaller than most burgers that you'll buy anywhere else (less than an average size). The shake! The vanilla shake here is fantastic. The flavor is good, the size is a bit small and the straw is a drink straw so be prepared for a workout. The shoestring fries! Very good. If you don't like large potato-style fries and you like the thiner shoestring ones, you'll love these fries. Service! So for some reason they went to a kiosk. Points deducted as a kiosk is just another reason not to tip and lack a real reason to even have a walk in store. For goodness sake, just take peoples order, have a smile and say thank you for the business. It is after all a service industry. Price! Pretty expensive. We ordered 3 shakes, an order of fries and 3 burgers, one of them a veggie burger. 50ish dollars. That's too much. Though the next burger place we went to the following day at the beach (tasted way better) was 70 dollars but that was two orders of fries. Tip was the same both days. I think a three star is...
Read moreI was super excited to visit this place after a round at the golf course. I love burgers and heard great things about Coastline. The order process was simple. Ordered on the tablet, pays and punch in your phone number. Got a burger, fries and a strawberry smoothie. Waited for about 15 mins and got a text that my burger was ready! Hungry from 5 hours of walking and excited to try out some yummy burger...and the burger was just...ok. I picked up the burger no more than 30 seconds after my text as I was just waiting outside the joint, but the burger was cold by the time I walked back to my car to eat it. Also, not sure what happened, but the burger was SALTY! My hypothesis is that they left the bacon next to the fries station and salted it (by accident?) When they salted the fries. Most every bite was way too salty. I would have went back in to ask, but they are 10 mins from closing and I would feel bad to have them work longer than they have to. Oh well, things happens. The fries - they were ok. Not anything special except that it's cut smaller than other fries. Also, it was warm and not hot. Smoothie was good! Good strawberry flavor and good thickness. As mentioned above, I was hungry after a round of golf, which usually mean things would taste better (things usually taste better when you are super hungry, right?) but I was pretty disappointed. Oh well, this just means I have to find another place next...

Shoestring fries are crispy and delicious. If you love fries, one order wonât be enough to share.
Chocolate shake is creamy, chocolatety & delicious. Their seasonal coconut shake had good flavor but consistency wasnât thick and bits of coconut could choke you if youâre not expecting them.
Downsides: Restaurant is usually warm inside even with windows open. Outside patio gets direct afternoon sun & thereâs little to no shade. Things to be aware of if youâre dining in.
Thereâs no designated place to wait for take out orders. There are a couple of stools but theyâre in walk path of counter & next to the only water dispenser so itâs awkward when youâre waiting for take out. Recommend restaurant at least relocate the water dispenser to counter on opposite side.
The front counter person wears gloves presumably for sanitary purposes since they mix the shakes & bag up the food but Iâve never seen them replace gloves between mixing shakes, bagging food, or after bussing the tables. Itâs not sanitary to wear gloves if youâre not replacing them regularly.
Noticed kitchen workers wearing shorts which may not be within OSHA guidelines when working around food and deep fryers. Serving yes, kitchen prep, cook, or dishwasher likely no...
