“Be careful it’s hot it just came out” I was told regarding a breakfast sandwich.

The bread was lukewarm at best, and the egg in the middle was quite literally ice cold the ham was a step above the egg at a tepid level most likely caused by residual heat from the bread. It’s not difficult to open a sandwich if all you’re doing is heating it in a toaster oven.

Last time I was here I only had a tiramisu which was mediocre at best.

I’m sure it would have been much better if the food was actually hot or even warm.

Coffee was decent but nothing special....

Interestingly the ricotta toast has no ricotta (which I thought might be strange anyway) but rather cream cheese (which made much more sense as I had the salmon version. Imagine your typical lox, capers and cream cheese- but on two petite triangles of toasty bread with the buttery flavor of a croissant and the texture of buttery toasted white bread. Such a lovely place! As a student, this was my first time visiting the café, and I absolutely loved the peaceful environment. It was quiet and cozy—perfect for studying. I ordered a cup of coffee and a slice of lemon blueberry cake, and ended up spending the whole afternoon here working, the sunlight poured in beautifully. I’m definitely coming back.
