Miller Community Center — Attraction in Seattle

I have been familiar with Miller/Meany area from my days as a student 1999-2001 and man oh man! It's changed significantly. I was there for a new hire orientation session but seeing how the internal structure has changed to a more community friendly approach (computer lab, classes, etc.) is amazing. Seeing the rooms brought up memories from when I was a kid. I enjoyed coming back and seeing more positive changes happening. went to play drop in volleyball, had to get there at 4pm to get a ticket then to get a bracelet at 545pm to play at 6pm. i loved how diverse the community was, but it was very unorganized, the teams were already picked out by the players, there was a few of us who didn’t have a team i asked to be on a team and they said sure and then found males to replace me i asked another team if i could join theres they said no. the vibe of the game play was not fun at all, and i left. i think if theres that many people coming for “open gym” a staff member should...

Been here a couple of times attempting to get into the competitive pick up volleyball Mondays & Thursdays. They have a small 20 spot parking lot, but there is ample street parking also if the lot is full. The front desk is helpful if you have any questions.
