I saw this place on Google a while back and saved it for my next pay check. I'm glad I decided to come back and see how it's like, boy it's delicious. They also provide a bib, gloves, napkins, and crab cracking utensils if you're eating crab.
I ordered a half dozen oyster on the half shell, big easy rice (rice with big easy sauce), and whole Dungeness crab with 1lb manilla clams.
Oysters tasted fresh and salty, as they should be and I added some lime on top. Big easy rice was very flavorful, a little spice but not too much, very garlicky (which I love), excellent when mixed with your boil choice, for me the crab meat and clams.
Dungeness crab was cooked to perfection, succulent and tender. I've missed eating crab since I moved and this place filled that missing piece.
The clams were also delicious, juicy and covered in the sauce that I picked (big easy) each piece was practically covered in ground garlic pieces and other parts of the sauce.
At the end of your meal they give you a wrapped up warm towel you can use to wipe down your hands if they did get dirty. Before you leave they let you take a spin on a wheel. This wheel as all sorts of offers, I got complimentary 1lb manilla clams for my next visit when I dine in. That works out perfectly.
If I had anything bad to say is that I wish it were closer to where I live in Everett. Other than that, I really have no problem. This is a great place to come with a group of your friends or family though. Though depending on what and how much you decide to get you might want to split the bill between your folks.
I'll definitely be coming back later to redeem my prize from the wheel (which, spinning the wheel is totally free after you eat.) They have a 20% added service charge, but it's all worth it with how great the...
Read moreToday I share a review of one of my favorite locations. Crawfish king has now been one of my go to locations when I’m feeling Seafood for over a year now. They offer a wide selection of things including one of the most popular items “Seafood Boils”. A Seafood boil basically let’s you pick your choice of seafood by the pound and add in what ever you want. Example: crawfish, potato’s, sausage, corn. It comes in a marinated bag of your choice and is a always delicious option. But to be truthful, the reason I love crawfish king is for the light bites and the meal and 2 sides options.
You can get either an entree and 2 sides for $20 or a Po-Boy and 2 sides for $23. This is really a great deal for Seafood and trust me it is a filling meal. Today I ordered a Po-Boy with 8 oz crawfish, Mac salad and Gumbo as my side (showed in pictures). My wife ordered 8 oz of fried Alligator, Gumbo and Mozzarella sticks (Also shown in pictures). This was her first time having Crawfish King and also trying Alligator. She was blown away by how delicious the food was. In my experience the food is always cooked very well. They always give you exactly what you order and I’ve never had a complaint with them so far.
I will say that every-time I’ve ordered Crawfish king it has been for takeout, so I cannot speak truthfully about how the dine in experience is. But from the friendly faces and greetings I have received picking up my food I’m sure you will enjoy the dine in experience. (I will have to make a review for that in the future).
Even though Seattle has loosened up the covid laws the restaurant does still provides sanitizer and the staff appears to be taking safety precautions.
I highly recommend you all to try Crawfish king next time you are looking for some...
Read moreThis was my first stop in the ID food walk and MAN was that a bad idea. I ordered catfish, oyster shooters, and a pink lemonade. I asked for a table but they weren't allowing tables for people participating in the food walk. I'm from Brooklyn so I'm not bothered by eating on the go but I can imagine people who order a lot of things might be annoyed.
The catfish itself wasn't great. It really needed more seasoning and I found QUITE a few bones. I understand fish have bones but was I supposed to debone the fish myself? It was deep fried!
The fries weren't awful but they were VERY soggy. Adding ketchup didn't help matters much.
The pink lemonade they had given me, despite appearing secure, was anything but. The lady saw me putting it into my bag and didn't tell me that it would probably leak all over my bag, back, and pants, forcing me to go home and change. So thanks for that. How did it taste? Actually not bad. But I had to remove the metal top from the container to avoid the half can that was left from leaking all over my front side, too.
I threw out the oyster shooters. I was 0/3 and there's no telling what those had in store for me.
The food walk is supposed to entice people to come visit your restaurant in the future; it's not a "give us your money and get out" scheme for people who wouldn't otherwise be in the ID (enjoy those 17 WHOLE DOLLARS though and I hope it was worth it). There was a very clear lack of effort put in. If this is the sales pitch and a peek of what my experience would be like when eating there, it's gonna have to be a no from me, dawg. This is VERY far from the only seafood...
