GAGA TEA 嘎嘎 — Restaurant in Seattle

Came for drinks after dinner. This place opens until much later than most tea places. The drinks are very tasty. Ours came out very quickly after we ordered so did not have to wait long. It seems to be a very busy little place but they still manage to make the drinks fairly quickly. My passion fruit tea had a lot of real passion fruit in it. Thank goodness I added lychee jelly and aloe to my drink to counter the tartness of the passion fruit. Enjoyed my drink very much. Also, hope I get to take home a magnet like the sign says. The duck is sooo cute. Forgot to mention, place is kinda small only one small coffee table and 2 chairs fit. The rest of the area is just big enough to stand in line to order. This is a review of their service: ZERO stars tonight! Shop was filled with people waiting, but only 5 people in line to order so we decided to place an order. There was only one person behind the counter but she decided she wanted to make 10+ drinks at a time before dispensing them. Which means 10 drinks are sitting on the back counter with ice melting and customers STARING AT THEIR DRINKS! Some people even asked if they could grab their drinks and she said no. She then proceeded to go to the back room to put another pot of boba on the stove, all while we are staring at our drinks. Finally, she returns and puts lids on the drinks. There were audible “hallelujahs” in the store. Absolutely incompetent! I’ll return but this girl should NOT be allowed to work on busy days and owners should know what a horrible experience it was for...

I think I came into this one with higher expectations that I should have given the other positive reviews. I got the sweet milk tea with boba, which was literally just honey and whole milk stirred together with tapioca pearls. It tasted like the milk leftover at the bottom of a bowl of honey nut cheerios. The boba itself was actually pretty good - warm, sweet, and chewy, but I wouldn't say it justified the $6 the drink ended up costing. Service was fast and friendly.
