The service here is spectacularly bad. I mean epically bad, like "they hate their customers" bad.

The guy taking my order never brought me water and I had to ask for it. He never gave me any chopsticks or anything else to eat with, even after he brought the appetizer, and again I had to ask for them. So far, annoying, but nothing that bad.

But then it turned out he screwed up my order and they brought me a main course I didn't order. I had to call over the other person working there to tell her, and it was probably 10 minutes before she finally came back to say she asked the kitchen for the correct order. Which never came. Apparently, they when they screw up your order, you go to the back of the order queue after everyone else; no hurry!

After sitting in the place for over an hour, the whole time with the idiot who screwed up my order constantly looking over to see if I was still there but never saying a word or coming over to check, I had enough. As I got up to leave, a couple next to me said, "You're finally leaving? We're still waiting for our food as well!" They had asked what the delay was about 10 minutes before, after having sat there at least 40+ minutes, and that guy had the nerve to ask them, "Your order never came out?" The place is small and wasn't even busy - how do you not notice the customers sitting there for over half an hour with no food? But then there was at least one other couple who'd been sitting there for a long time with no food, so I guess it's hard keeping track of all the customers you haven't served.

Paid for my appetizer and left, and the guy never said one word even to apologize; just took my money. It's Seattle; there's plenty of other places to get sushi -...

I recently visited Kas in Seattle, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The sushi itself was definitely the standout—fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. You can tell they put thought into the quality of the fish, and some of the specialty rolls were quite enjoyable. If you’re mainly there for the sushi, you’ll likely walk away satisfied.

However, the rest of the restaurant felt pretty average. The interior design is basic, and the atmosphere doesn’t quite match the quality of the food. It felt more like a casual neighborhood spot than a place you’d go for a memorable dining experience. Service was fine, but not especially attentive or friendly—just enough to get by.

In terms of pricing, I’d say it was fair for the portion size and quality. It’s not overly expensive, but it’s also not a budget sushi spot. You’re getting decent value for what you pay.

Kas is a solid option if you’re looking for good sushi without the need for a trendy or upscale setting. It’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again, but I wouldn’t mind stopping in if I were nearby and in the...

KAS was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because I wanted to get a nigiri lunch combo but they were out of stock for those so I decided to get a tuna poké bowl instead. The Korean aunty was apologetic but I honestly understood since this weekend there was massive conference in the city. As I was waiting, a middle-aged man appeared angry, asking for the owner. As he was frustrated and couldn’t get a hold of the owner, he loudly yelled to other patrons entering “it’s not even that good!” This made me pretty uncomfortable and worried about my order. However, when the poké bowl came out, it was genuinely very good. Good portion and pairings with the add-ins that it came with. So, if you see another google review that sounds inflammatory about it not being that good, hopefully this review...

The sushi at KAS Kitchen, Seattle is phenomenal. I could tell it was fresh and higher quality than many other sushi restaurants in the area. We placed an order to go. It was ready when promised. I asked for additional soy sauce when I picked up the order. Got a lot of pushback “soy sauce already in bag” a couple of times. I insisted and the cashier finally gave me 3 additional packets. The restaurant space itself is rather utilitarian and not terribly clean. The food makes up for this. The sashimi was thick and quite tasty. Miso soup just right (not too salty). I’d try this place again.
