Today, Saturday at 6:53 PM I had the worst experience in the Carlile restaurant from two people and a bit of a run in with the door lady. Upon crossing the street from the Paramount to the Carlisle restaurant as we approach the door, they were five people waiting. We got in line. I step forward to ask how long the wait would be the lady at the door said she could see me right now. I informed her that these people have been waiting and I'm not wanting to cut in front of them, I just wanna know how long the weight it's going to be at that point. The lady said we're leaving. This is ridiculous so the party of three left that left the other gentleman and his wife which we stuck up a conversation with they were from out of town and we're going to see Buddy Guy at the Paramont, which is where we were going also, we decided to sit together in the restaurant however we ended up at the bar four seats from them I told the waitress small gal about 5 feet tall blonde hair that I wanted to buy drinks for my friend down on the other end and she said we don't do that here I said interesting so I left it alone. My partner ordered a drink with vodka, gin, and rum, which she didn't like he made the complaint that is very little alcohol in it, and it takes like Sprite the manager happened to be at the east end of the bar dealing with another two people who were unhappy with the long wait as soon as he finished with them, my partner asked for a different drink do the fact that there was very little alcohol. In the first one. The manager took a straw, tasted the drink, as if what he was saying, wasn't true and then told him it's not supposed to taste like alcohol at that point I chimed in and said I'll tell you what just make him another drink at that point the five tall waitress chimed in with a snide remark and I said excuse me we're trying to figure this out over here and manager told me not to talk to her like that at that point I pretty much had enough and told us to look bring him another drink, which is what you should've did in the first place and we wouldn't be having this conversation my partner took a sip of the drink a second time and he said oh you like it I'm gonna have to charge you for that now. I said we're done here. I'm not gonna wait for my food. We're leaving. He said oh you have food. I said not now so I went to our two new friends. Explain what it happened and why we were leaving and they said that waitresses not making the drinks quite right ours don't taste right either. It's funny how you drink something for 10 years and you can tell when it's off nevertheless we left we enjoyed the show and all my years of going to the Carlisle. I never expected something like this to happen the semi bald manager with the I know better than you attitude who couldn't fix a simple drink. Issue turned into something that it didn't need to be. I've got another performance. We're going to see at the Paramount and I'll have five friends with me with me I want to take to the Carlile before the show. I just hope I don't have to deal with the same people.

Read moreFood is just okay. Again - nothing to write home about. Service is good. Seating is uncomfortable. Well - tried it again. Gave 'em a few years to get their menu together. DID NOT HAPPEN. This place? I don't know why anyone eats there. A small burger - 20 bucks. An order of clams - with beans and a pepper .. I could not find the pepper - just flakes like you would put on a pizza .. and only one or two flakes. About 12 over cooked smashed beans. About 60 percent of the clams were empty. So glad they game me toasted bread with the dish - When I was done? I was so hungry still, I needed to go get something to eat. My Lovely Wife got a bowl of French Onion Soup. BOWL? Boy .. that's using the term loosly. It was CUP at the most. Maybe 1/2 a cup. I shared my bread with her - even though I REALLY NEEDED THAT BREAD .. we were both hungry after a day of travel and hiking. My buddy got the Salad with the chicken - the chicken was a 9 dollar add on - the salad was soooo small - and we could NOT tell what sort of chicken this was. We had to ask. Was that a thigh or a breast or ? He had to ask for more dressing to his salad as there was not enough to even flavor the whole salad - which - seemed to be ONLY Romain Lettuce. Don't Bother with this place. The only thing good was the OVER PRICED PIE. It was good. The service was stellar, though. So .. we played nice and it wasn't their fault that the food was terrible and small portions. If you're on a diet and don't mind paying way to much for mediocre food - it's your place. If you're a hearty eater - and don't like washing this stuff down with 25 dollar cocktails .. find another place. 25 bucks for a plate of SPAGHETTI...
Read moreThe Carlile Room in Seattle is an outstanding dining spot that offers a delightful experience. I decided to try their hamburger, and it turned out to be an excellent choice.
Highlights:
• Food Quality: The hamburger and fries were delicious. Despite being a seemingly simple dish, few places manage to get it right, and Carlile Room excels in this regard. The flavors were spot-on, and every bite was satisfying. • Service: The attention from the staff was incredible. They were attentive without being overbearing, allowing me to enjoy my meal in peace. This balance contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. • Ambiance: The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The cozy setting, combined with tasteful decor, made for a comfortable dining environment. It’s located in a great part of Seattle, which adds to its charm. • Menu: Although the menu isn’t extensive, each option is well-curated. The limited selection ensures that each dish is a good choice, making it easier to decide what to order.
Conclusion: Dining at the Carlile Room was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Whether you’re dining alone, as I did, or with company, the environment is conducive to a pleasant meal.
