I come here at Elaia spa often so I noticed new restaurant on first floor. I told my husband we have to check it out but unfortunately it wasn't that great. We came on January 1st after holidays and place wasn't so busy. I ordered salted SeaGarita which was absolutely unique and delicious and thats it! The rest was very bland. Scallops tasted cheewy and felt like its been frozen and fake grill marks made it even worse. It wasn't grilled at all and it didn't tasted like grilled either. Cup of chowder was mediocre, I tasted better in Seattle. Oyster tacos were OK but again very bland. The worst was the dessert that was so hard that we coudn't cut it. Tasted very old and it was definitely frozen or refrigerated for too long because it felt like old fridge taste. Also pistachio crust had very weird taste even if it would be fresh I dont think flavors would be on point either. We showed waitress the cake how hard it was and she removed it from the check because we didnt want to eat it - so hard and tasted old. Very overpriced dinner we had. I dont think we will come back if food wouldn't improve. They also add automatically 15% to your check for service like in other restaurants at the hotel, so please consider that

2 days crammed full of even more highly impactful ways that I can serve sellers, buyers, investors, and builders in the Real Estate Market. Getting released at 5pm downtown Seattle means this woman is stopping for fresh oysters in the half shell to kill time before heading home. OUR STORY At Tidal Plus, we honor the space where the tide meets the forest. Savor the bounty of the Pacific Ocean paired with delights foraged and harvested on nearby land. Celebrate the treasure that is the Pacific Northwest. Your seafood choices matter for the health of the ocean and impact on the environment. Guided by our purpose of care, Hyatt at Olive 8 and TIDAL+ are LEED Silver Certified and work to provide ethically sourced, consciously produced fare. We are proud to spark change throughout the supply chain and share the stories of our local partners who join us in their care for the planet.

Solid place to get seafood at the Hyatt. It’s definitely pricey but that is to be expected for a restaurant in the Hyatt. The food is good, but there’s nothing special about the food so it’s the biggest selling point is that it’s in the Hyatt. The oysters were fresh and I liked the lemon slices. The vinaigrette that came with the oysters was surpassingly good, even though I usually don’t like vinegar. I do wish there was some salt on the table so I could’ve added some salt. But overall the oysters were good. We also go the chowder, which was good but a bit overly salty. The service is good. We got seated quickly, the food came promptly, and we got the check promptly. I appreciated how they made sure to clean our tables pretty much as soon as we finished a dish. The inside is well decorated. It feels modern with the blue lighting. They have table and bar seating.

For the food I would give 5 stars but a restaurant is more than a meal its service too. So short the food is perfect and was very enjoyable but the reason why this review is not 5 stars is below.

Our night started with us being greeted by the hostess and she was lively and got us a perfect table for my husband and I to people watch and enjoy. (Though there was a lot of empty tables but being a Monday that is understandable)

One gentleman came and gave us water letting us know he was not our waiter but our waiter would be with us shortly. (I would like to say his name started with a J but I cant be positive)

Our waiter (I believe was Alex based on the ticket since he never introduced himself and didnt wear his name tag) came a bit later and he pointed out the drink menu and said he would be back soon.

When he came back he asked if we wanted anything and I responded that water would be perfect for me and the waiter shut down and didnt even take my husbands order. Which then my husband decided to have just a diet Pepsi.

Since we had a late lunch we decided to have split meal but still ordered 3 courses.

We ordered the cheese plate, which was a chef's choice. Which was fantastic. We had a blue cheese, a hard cheese and one with herbs we believe was basil, but honestly we could not tell you because we were served it not telling us anything about it and not a single recommendation what would be best. At the very least I wish we could have had an idea of what we ate. Or even have our waiter ask if we enjoyed it since it is a chef choice.

We split the fish and chips which has a great flavor (yet their tartar sauce is very sour) but overall was great but I think our waiter failed again not informing us that it is one piece of fish for the 2 of us to split.

At the end our waiter was ready to get rid of us and was surprised when he asked if we wanted dessert and we said yes. And just placed the menu down and walked away. We ended up ordering the strawberry rhubarb cake (which again was great)

Overall the service was slow (for only having max 3 tables the whole time we were there including our table) and the wait staff needs a lot more training. Especially since our waiter who was helping maybe one other table couldn't even keep our drinks filled. The most disappointing part for it was that their is a mandatory 20% tip since our waiter deserved max 18%. (Which says a lot because my husband wont give below 23% but he was upset too)

Overall the food is fantastic, but the wait staff is needing training on basic serving. -introducing yourself -keeping drinks full -talk to the patrons of the restaurant At...

We’ve dined here three times, twice because we were staying at the hotel and once again when we were downtown to see a show and missed our reservation for a different restaurant.

The online menu isn’t accurate; the menu changes seasonally and Hyatt doesn’t keep it updated, so if you have your heart set on something specific, you may want to call ahead and make sure it’s actually available.

We LOVE their oysters- the mignonette they do is FABULOUS- we would absolutely go back for just oysters and drinks.

The chef was able to accommodate modifications to the squid ink pasta on the fly and make it more of a cream sauce (what was on the online menu, vs the pepper lemon sauce actually being offered), and it turned out excellent. My husband’s burger though, was overdone and cold.

The service all three times has been painfully slow. And what killed us last night was finding out that they automatically add 18% to the bill, regardless of party size, because they aren’t paying the Seattle required minimum wage! We would have tipped last night, but frankly, not well— we had to ask twice for everything we needed, the table behind us came in after us, ordered the same starters (about 10 minutes after we ordered) and was served a full 15 minutes before we were! (We had also expressed that we were on a time crunch, and for real, we started with raw oysters….) The service our first two visits was at least skilled, and must have been prior to the law change— the pace was still painful though, as we had our 8 year old with us on those occasions.

So, the place has potential, but now I’m conflicted about how they pay their staff and in general annoyed that my preference is to read the menu at home and...

I tried this place three different times for room service and every single time I was beyond highly disappointed! First time was a simple meat and cheese tray for like 16$ the meat was beyond warm the apple was so thinly sliced I don’t think I even got an actual entire apple slice. For 16$ I could’ve had a decent tray of meats and cheese but here was beyond laughable and highly disappointing like I previously stated. I then tried breakfast again I felt I was on the show punke’d because the biscuits and gravy was beyond atrocious I ended up spitting it out, the breakfast potatoes tasted raw in the middle and the sunny side eggs I got on their own platter were so watery it was just a complete mess another joke of a 30$ meal from this place they seriously need Gordon Ramsey to visit and shake things up! So I made my last and final mistake with ordering lunch something so simple as tomato soup and a grilled cheese! I rather eat a homeless mans toe jam than ever experience the atrocious taste from my lunch took two bites and left it on the table! The tomato soup no joke had so much grease floating on top I was able to scoops upon scoops of grease out and I did that for like 5 minutes and you couldn’t even tell I still had a so called tomato soup bowl full of grease! The grilled cheese also was far below satisfying! Save your money and go somewhere else near by this place needs some serious help and to be re managed or someone needs to try the garbage they push out for an over price amount! DISGUSTING don’t even look twice at this place keep searching for somewhere to eat you’ve...
