Beware, this is an all-you-can-eat, for the right price. These are my critiques: I requested the Tom Yum soup base but that was only on the higher price plan… why are the soup bases separated on two different price plans? I was hoping for a nice selection of meat options but you don’t get that kind of selection unless you pay for the higher price plan. If I can remember correctly there were only 3 red meat options, no chicken, no fish in the lower price plan. You do have to pay extra for the sauce/snack station which is mind blowing! It’s probably to pay for all the snacks that there but dang that just needs to be separate, free the sauce! The potato salad was so good though. In ordering vegetables, there are few options, you can get a couple things stand alone but the main option just seemed to be the “mixed vegetable”. Not knowing what was coming and not getting to choose feels inhibiting to the experience. There is a robot that comes around to deliver the food. We were told not to grab the trays off the robot but also it would come and we’d be waiting for our waitress to come get it to put it on our tables but she wouldn’t be around, so the robot would leave, that just felt weird and disappointing to watch your food come and go. The pricing seems odd, it’s only a $10 difference but you don’t really know what you’re getting until it may be too late. I would recommend either meeting in the middle of the two or just offer the higher price plan. Especially when this is advertised as “all you can eat” but really it’s only an all you can eat, within the price plan you pay for. I’ve been to quite a few hot pot places and the ones that are the best have a buffet style layout, you pay one price, you portion control yourself and you pick out exactly what you’d like to have from the buffet line, receiving a full tray of something can be wasteful if I don’t want a whole tray of meat or vegetables especially halfway through the meal.
Overall the experience was average and there wasn’t anything that stood out except what I listed above and that my matcha drink was very good! Service was less than average but the...
Read morei went for my birthday and man, it was disappointing to say the least. ive been to haidilao in many different countries. the one in america's service is the worst thing out of all of them whilst being the most expensive by far.
given the price, haidilao usually not only serves good food but also good service. there are many cheaper options in seattle, might as well go for those when the service cant make it.
these are my main greviances
minor nitpick: they do not offer collagen soup base despite it being the quintessential hotpot soup base. thats weird.

Read moreThis was my first dining experience at Haidilao, unfortunately my visit ended in an extremely unpleasant and dangerous manner.
Upon finishing my meal, I requested that the remaining broth be packaged to go. Regrettably, the broth was so hot that it compromised the bottom of the provided container, causing it to leak into the plastic bag. As a result, the bag melted, and the scalding broth spilled onto my hand and pant legs, causing burns and considerable pain.
Notably, while my takeaway was put into a plastic bag that could not withstand the heat, I observed that every other customers' takeaways were put into paper bags, which would not have melted under the same circumstances.
This oversight not only resulted in a painful injury for me but also poses a significant risk to other customers who may encounter similar incidents in the future.
After spending $140 and upon speaking to the manager, the only compensation offered was a “Cheery Tomato Coin Purse”, uncooked broth in a bag straight from the kitchen (requiring me to add water and own a hot pot), and a condescending speech about how it was was “Chinese New Year” and that “Only good things happen during this time”. I had to press the issue and state that a coin purse wasn’t fair compensation to get a measly $50 coupon which didn’t even cover half the cost of my meal. I really didn’t appreciate that as I stood there with hot broth on my pant legs and a burnt hand.
I only leave this review as HiDiLao customer service has repeatedly ignored my emails over the last week.
EDIT: You state in your response that you “Never put customers in a unsafe environment”, that is false as you put me in a unsafe position with burns due to incorrect packaging. Shame on you for adding that, this is a completely inappropriate response and not a...
