Update: I decided to give this place another try and decided to dine in, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it was worse and I won’t be coming back. While the food itself tasted fine, cleanliness was a huge issue. First, the counter where we sat was never wiped down and there was still leftover food and drink smeared on it from the last customers. Secondly, when the waitress brought out our food, an ANT WAS WALKING ACROSS MY TOAST. We all know that where there is one ant, there are many more. She saw this, apologized, and then went to replace the toast. I watched her carry around my new toast with her bare hands for a while after having touched several other items in and around the kitchen. I also watched another staff grab cherries with her bare hands out of a bucket for another customers milkshake. Handling food without gloves is an issue already, but especially during Covid. Why bother checking vaccine cards at the door and require masks when staff’s hands are all over your food anyway? Service-wise, nobody once came to refill my husband’s drip coffee. It’s a bummer, because I live nearby. I won’t be back.
Prior review: $25 for one breakfast burrito and a small black drip coffee to go. The coffee: I’m trying to wrap my head around how a small black drip coffee is $4.99. That’s the price of a latte anywhere else. The burrito: how is a normal sized breakfast burrito $20? You can get a better burrito anywhere else for the quarter of the price. Price aside, the burrito itself wasn’t wrapped like a burrito- it was folded over, open on both ends, and therefore everything was falling out. Despite a side of shredded hash browns, there were no utensils provided so this was a mess of a breakfast when all we really wanted was a normal breakfast burrito and drip coffee. I’ve had good experiences dining in at Luna Park cafe, and their food is good. They are friendly as well. Just don’t get the burrito or...

Luna Park Cafe is one of those places that just makes mornings better. I stopped by at 8 AM, and the service was spot on—friendly, attentive, and refreshingly free of forced small talk before coffee.
The vibe? Vintage diner meets retro roadside charm. Think antique signs, quirky decor, and just the right amount of kitsch—fun without feeling like a thrift store exploded. Unlike some “nostalgic” spots, it’s clean, uncluttered, and has zero chance of dust becoming an unwanted seasoning.
The food is classic American diner fare, but executed perfectly every time. No reinvented eggs Benedict with a truffle foam—just straightforward, delicious breakfasts that hit the spot. And let’s talk about the coffee. This isn’t your typical weak, sad diner drip. They serve Caffe Vita, and it’s got enough kick to launch you into your day without a second thought.
It’s also got a setup that works for just about anyone—grab a solo seat at the bar if you’re feeling low-maintenance, or bring the kids (mine love it here) and make a morning of it. The food comes out fast, the prices are fair, and the staff finds that sweet spot between being there when you need them and leaving you to sip your coffee in peace.
The only downside? Parking can be a bit of a circus, so plan ahead. But if you’re looking for a reliably great breakfast with a side of West Seattle charm, Luna Park Cafe is always a...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I tried to eat at the Luna Park Cafe on 3/25, I've driven by this place a lot and it stays busy. We met a young woman at the door who looked at us, we smiled and said hello, a table for 2, please. This "host" looked at us like we were wasting her time. We asked if we could wait outside with beers, she brings us 2 and we waited about 15 minutes, it was great weather and we were excited because the decor and food looks even better on the inside and we were having a great time! We saw a sign that says birthday cake milkshake for 29th anniversary. Hell ya! It's my 29th birthday this week and i love milkshakes, especially birthday cake ones! The host/server(?) brought us to our booth. For the next 20 minutes we watched 3 servers pass us atleast twice each, some more than others and i made eye contact with the host a couple of times... no service came. We finished our beers, had our menus at the corner of the table, all set to order, and no one came to greet us once. Ive been in the service industry for 10 years and i'd like the management to know to get your team to step it up.. ya it's Seattle and there is a certain DGAF attitude at breakfast spots all around town but we just wanted adequate service because we can make our experience ours but we never got the chance. I don't plan on going back, but it did look good, we were excited...
