McDonald feedback page only allows 1200 characters. I wrote a complaint to them but could not write all the detail. I was not so sure if McDonald would listen or care anything to my complaint or not. I just wanted to leave a faithful comment here to be warned about the mistreat and attitude you might receive from McDonald staff there even if you as a customer did nothing wrong.
The incident occurred on Sunday, 11/17/2018 at 5:20PM at McDonald address: 2401 4th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134. An employee contact name was "Betty", who claimed to be a store manager, showed a sign of attitude, poorly treated to a customer who did nothing wrong, and refused to provide service.
I was a regular customer at this particular branch. My daughter wanted to eat an ice cream and I was just about to pass this McDonald on my way home. During that time, the store was under an interior construction but still opened only for Drive-Thru. I stopped my car at the first Drive-Thru terminal service and got a promptly message to move forward to the second Drive-Thru service area (This was normal during non peak hour). I stopped my car at this second service area and waited for the staff to take my order. However, there was no respond on the intercom. Besides, the monitor showed only a blank white screen. It was a sign of monitor not working. I said "hello" and waited at the intercom for 15 seconds but no response from the operator at the end of the line. Apparently, I saw the first windows, where customers pay for the food with the cashier, was completely blocked with red cones and only the second windows opened. Due to the fact that store was under interior construction, I thought the intercom was down and was supposed to order at the second windows. There were two cars ahead of me and I waited patiently in line for my turn.
By the time I got to the windows, the staff told me about the other customer's order. I told her I did not order anything yet because there was no response from the intercom and the monitor showed only a blank white screen. Another staff came to the windows and told me to move the car to get back in line from the beginning again. I asked her why and calmly explained to her again about what happened at the terminal service back there. I clearly said that there was no response from the intercom while I waited for 15 seconds and the monitor abnormally showed only blank screen. She not listened but clearly showed a sign of attitude by the way she looked and talked to me. She kept telling me to go back in line to order with the terminal service again. That was ridiculous and not made any sense to redo the thing. I told her I did nothing wrong but why I had to go back to the line when the problem was the store service area itself not working at the first place, not a customer fault. I told her that what I need was an ice cream cone for my daughter and we did nothing wrong. She refused the service unless I followed her unreasonable direction to start a line all over. At this point, I and my wife told the staff that we need to talk to a store manager to report this mistreat incident. The very same staff told us she was a store manager. I asked for the name and she said "Betty". I told her that I need to file a report to the McDonald customer service about what I was being treated with this attitude. She just walked away.
This was bad, very bad. I not think I will go back to this store never ever again and I not want to let this incident go like nothing happen. I do really hope McDonald do some internal investigation about this incident as shown on date and time above. My daughter could not get an ice cream and I feel like this was totally not okay for the business to treat a customer like this. I hope anyone come to read this acknowledge about...
Read moreStop at this location quite frequently for delivery but after this last experience. That was it. When you talk "delivery partners". This means we work together to get food to customers that may have no means of doing so before. I loved that they started giving the orders at the door. Because this meant that they were actually doing a "partner" step in the process. I even started writing the order number on a small white board so they wouldn't have to go back n forth... Well they stop doing that. Now back to waiting in a line of people that haven't even ordered yet. Yeah so I pulled up to drive thru this morning and waited a min or 2. Said "hello", no one responded. So now I'm wondering if they are still open, filling orders or what. So I pull around to the window. I see a gentleman on the phone so I give him a few min (We're paid by the delivery not the hr mind you). But that's okay, I understand sometimes things happen. Anyway so within a 5 min period he had glanced at me twice but did not gesture anything whatsoever. So I tap on the window. The guy is clearly ignoring me, and I'm wondering what's going on. Are you open are you not open. I would love to move on if so. Look man all it takes is 1 second to gesture "give us a min" or " nope not right now".... But nothing. So I write on my white board "common courtesy goes a long way" and tap on the window again. Finally there's like 3 people walking around in there blatantly ignoring me. I mean really, what is going on here. Finally I hear him say "f off"... Are you kidding me, like seriously. What the heck is the matter with these people. Then he proceeds to say I'm acting like a child for tapping on the window, he's not going to give me any order and waves bye. Wow like I haven't seen such backwards costumer service this bad in quite some time. This guy is unbelievable. I've giving the experience 1 Star but I forgive you bro. Some people just need to learn some simple mindfulness and learn...
Read moreBad fast customer service, bad greasy food, they messed up on the order twice, employees pay almost all their attention & move so fast to full fill drive thru orders( Correct or wrong)that they almost abandon the lounge dine in customers . They are almost rude. There is no respect here for our money. We get their bad food as if we are not paying for it. And as if they are forced to work there, and as if they are forced to serve it to us. Why would we subject our self to this .We just go to another McDonald's where we are Valued, and Cherished, and food has a better quality. Parking lot is surrounded by trash, junk, ugly junky cars, and dilapidated RV, plus a lot of shady looking characters hanging out, or walking around aimlessly, that you would not feel safe to leave your nice car alone . Or your nice lady in the car alone. Definitely you would feel embarrassed if you bring your nice company ( friends) to this McDonald's. It is like The Getto of McDonald's Restrooms lights are dimmed so much that it is almost dark. Then there is a little dimmed blue lights throughout the restroom , you barely can see , and you feel like you are in a twilight zone, or a dancing club( except no good music, and no dancing crowd, and no alcohol, and you are not having a good time). Drive thru is really busy Not because the food and ,or the service is good., it is because of McDonald's name & sign. And it is the only McDonald's near by, and it is surrounded by lots of businesses , Other than that it is not a good place to eat at or order from. Certainly I would not order, or eat in at this McDonald's. I would for sure choose another nicer McDonald's where the food & service are better quality, and the parking...
