I liked this place a lot and still hope to in the future. I went in recently. It was busy, no masks, no specifications (to each their own). Order at the bar, (more indication for that would be nice, we sat there for a bit before realizing (and a patron mentioned) all orders were taken at the bar. There is a lot of outdoor seating, and happy hour drinks and plates.

The concern for me is the restroom. Now gender neutral, great. They were disgusting. I'm sorry, there is no other way to say it. I have worked in the service industry for a while. It is habit for me to wipe down the counter, step on an over flowing garbage can, and let staff know if something needs to be stocked (especially if they are busy). There was no soap, and the toilet had pee stains on the side of the toilets!!! Not pee sprinkles, pee stains. I can elaborate, but I won't, It was bad. I informed the bartender about the need for soap and paper towels. Honestly, I didn't get the impression she was concerned. She stated that they would get it when they could and that they were busy, to which I replied "by the look of that toilet you have been busy for over a week." It was not good and smelled, sadly. Prior to writing this review I sent an email to the establishment to let them know, I have not been responded to. I always liked this place and was excited to return. That restroom will keep me from returning for a while. It is a simple fix which I can only hope will be addressed because this...

Pono Ranch is both a restaurant and a bar. Hawaiian themed, it's got multiple bars open sometimes and most of the seating is outdoors with plenty of tables throughout. At night, they light some gas fire pits to keep people warm, and most tables have a covering above then in case of bad weather. Since it's outdoors mainly, it gets very busy and hard to find a table if you're arriving late. The line to get in past 7pm can be really long too, so I advise you getting there around 5pm or so to avoid waiting in line. Also, buy a few drinks or pitchers to save time and money as the line to get drinks becomes very long as well, even with a few bartenders behind the bar. It can get a little pricey here as their drinks and beers are just a little bit high, but still worth the...

I have had my birthday here and have visited several times with my wife. I don't normally post reviews but the service is not good, it's downright awful. We have been here multiple times and have had to wait 10 - 15 minutes before staff even approaches us to give water or ask for our drink order. It seems a bit ridiculous when there are multiple servers standing around especially when it's not busy. I do love this place for the scenery and outdoor space. The food is sadly mediocre and the beer selection needs to be expanded. I hate to give it a poor review, but the service needs to be addressed. I was going to have my birthday there again this year, but on a recent visit, I was reminded of the poor service. You can do...

6/11/22: I saw Pono Ranch and immediately thought of home in Hawaii. Although their menu looks like Asian Hawaiian fusion, the flavor was not there. The huli huli chicken didn't taste right, more like a sweet teriyaki which is not huli huli. The Mac salad was not the Hawaiian style, it was too sweet hardly any mayo. The rice was overcooked. Beer/drink options looked decent and service was prompt and friendly. It's a great location with lots of outdoor seating.

Stumbled across this place while biking in Ballard, really glad my friend pulled me to go here even though we were super tired from 3 hrs of biking. They had quite good drinks and I really liked their green tea shot! It was a very sparse crowd when we visited but it feels like one of those places that get crowded some certain times, would definitely check their on Instagram befire heading there to see if they have live music or not.
