It's cherry donut time at Top Pot and the Ballard location of top pot is slaying. They had everything I wanted to make a special dozen to take with me down to the Oregon coast as a thank you to some amazing friends. It was beautiful teamwork, Keith selected the donuts while Scar rang each individual doughnut up. In under five minutes (!) I was in and out with my dozen plus my cold brew with extra ice, plus a donut for myself. Lots of warmth and Hospitality with amazing efficiency. Next time I need a dozen I'll be back here for refreshingly Customer Service. I know some people won't care about the timing but I'm always on the run lately and finding time to grab a dozen donuts between meeting can't seem like a miracle. I'm super grateful that the Parking God's favored me with a spot right outside the donut shop, and then staff was ready to rock 'n' roll when I walked in. They also had their excellent anniversary coffee beans ready to go, and I love that they sell the locally produced smith milk. There's a reason Top pot remains the iconic donut of Seattle and among the best donuts in the Pacific Northwest.

Stale doughnuts taste like 4 days old. They ask for a 25 percent tip for buying at the counter! I have been in to Top Pot 3 times in the last year. Each time the expensive doughnuts taste stale and like there is too much bitter baking powder in the doughnuts. At $3 for each doughnut, Top Pot could do better. I know the doughnuts are not made at the Ballard site, but, now the doughnuts taste even more stale than before. Maybe 4 days old? I do not like being asked for a tip on a credit card charge for buying doughnuts at the counter. There is no table service or any service. The counter person puts the doughnut in a bag. Should I have to tip 25 percent for that? It makes me uncomfortable and I walk out feeling guilty for not tipping more. Maybe Top Pot should pay their employees more!

The donuts are amazing but I paid for 4 donuts and she never told me than for the same price I could get a half dozen like most places usually tell me 💔 UPDATE Came today again, and hey! It's available for consumption inside the store. Don't miss it. They have a new apple fritter with blueberries, it's seasonal and it's delicious. With my husband, we always think that "fancy" donuts usually need more body, but the donuts here are such amazing.

If you're in Ballard, Top Pot Doughnuts is a must-visit! Beyond the delicious doughnuts, it’s the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it special. Laura’s warm and friendly nature makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. She’s always ready to offer a recommendation or just strike up a conversation that makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Keith is equally as wonderful, with his upbeat energy and the care he puts into every order. It’s clear that they both go above and beyond to create a welcoming environment for everyone.

The doughnuts are pure perfection, from the classic Old-Fashioned to the indulgent Chocolate Glazed, paired perfectly with smooth coffee.

Top Pot Ballard is a local gem made even better by Laura and Keith....
