I was more than satisfied with my dine experience. The staff was friendly enough and attentive. Like a good neighbor, they just keep on being there. Even better, they didn't give me a hard time for wanting a side of peanut sauce for my pho. Almost every pho place i go to gets slightly micro agressive when i ask for a side of peanut sauce for my pho.
Their menu selection was plentiful and very reasonably priced. Especially their combos. I'll forsure be back for more. I apprciate that they have sauce on all the tables. One of which I dont think ive ever seen at any noodle spot that sells pho. Of course I tried it and yes it was good, but probably not for the pho. I know I only talk about pho, but they for sure have many other options besides.
On this trip i settled for a large steak and brisket pho. My food wasn't the best I ever had but It was very delicious. The broth was extra savory. Some may prefer a much cleaner broth, but I like many types of broth. I had so much food i could only eat about half. I forsure should have ordered a small. Especially since i ate a light breakfast maybe 2 hours before. The only thing I wanted more of was the topping such as onions and etc. For a large it was a bit bare bones when it came to the toppings.
I don't remember the parking situation, but the place had a lot of people showing up for lunch. So many people ordered the combo, i so should have just ordered it.
Surprisingly this place had a pretty cool interior design. Nothing fancy, but you can tell they put in effort into their them. It felt appropriate and it was surprisingly clean. Big shout out to the workers for simply making sure the customers are...
Read moreI was really hungry and decided to stop by for lunch. I just walked in. Asked if they had Porchops and rice and the person on the counter seemed to say they did, so I ordered Porchop with rice and a fried egg. A few minutes after got my order, although I'm not sure I got por chops, it seemed taste and looked more like short ribs it didn't matter I was so hungry that I devoured everything. Finished my food, paid the bill, and headed to the restroom did my thing, and while I was there, an older guy stood at the stool next to me and did his thing he finished while I was washing my hands and walked right out of the bathroom and headed to the kitchen. When I got out of the bathroom I let the waiter know that the gent didn't wash his hand while using the bathroom and she told me that they had a sink inside and he washed his hands there, told her that people have to wash their hands before they left the restroom because cross- contamination,...
Read moreExcellent food, par ambience for an oasis in a food desert of Michigan Ave., East Marginal Way at the 1st Ave. Bridge. Ergo parking is at a bit of a premium. I'm sure they do an insane lunch & take out business. I walked from Les Schwab getting tire service. My experience is limited to one plate of Chicken Chow Mein. Served piping hot, the lightly yellow noodles bordered on creamy, and largish chunks of chicken sporting marks of being browned in a pan. Nice balance of vegetables, though they were cut for the bigger boy appetites that might be found locally. Neat tidy well.appointed without giving the impression that a good part of your bill was for expensive decor. Looked to me like a family business by the way these folks chattered, short and sweet. I am just not in the neighborhood that often vs. passing through from West5 to...
