I stopped by here for some quick food before a Seahawks game, and I was incredibly surprised by how good this place was I got the Grilled Pork Bahn Mi, and what surprised me the most was how cheap it was. Compared to how expensive everything around me was, the fact that I could get this for as low as $10 instantly drew my eye. Considering this price, I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this actually turned out very good
I've had a bunch of pork bahn mi's in the past, and this definitely ranks up there as one of the best. The baguette is super crispy on the outside, yet it didn't feel chewy or hard to get through like you'd often feel with bread that is too hard. Despite the crispiness it was still not too difficult to bite through and get through both sides of the sandwich I loved the amount of mayo slathered across both sides of this. When making a sandwich like this, sauce is exceedingly important because the risk of making the sandwich feel dry is high. However, in this case, it added to the flavor a lot
The vegetables as a part of this were really good too The highlight of this sandwich was the pork. It was in relatively large circular pieces scattered throughout, and was abundant throughut the sandwich. This pork was cooked really well, super fatty and flavorful, and you could tell it was recently grilled because of the char marks on the outside - which just added to that grill flavor. It was fantastic
For the price, you really can't beat how good this was, and it was pretty filling as well
Overall, a tiny place that offers an incredibly good version of this classic...
Read moreSaigon Streets feels like Vietnamese comfort food reimagined for a quick, modern setting. Itâs fast, casual, and built around banh mi, noodle bowls, and strong Vietnamese coffee.
The Banh Mi Sandwiches (all around $9.25) are the main draw. The Grilled Pork Banh Mi is the most popularâjuicy pork with just the right char tucked into a crisp baguette with pickled daikon, carrot, and cilantro. The Curry Chicken Banh Mi is a sleeper hit, slightly spicy, slightly sweet, while the Meatball Banh Mi gives you that saucy, nostalgic comfort.
If you want a little variety, the Combo Banh Mi + Coffee ($14.50) is the move: a sandwich plus a glass of strong, sweet Vietnamese iced coffee that hits like rocket fuel.
On the noodle side, the Saigon Streets Special ($19) brings grilled pork or chicken over rice noodles with fried egg and shrimp, drizzled with sweet-savory sugar cane sauce. Itâs filling and colorful, perfect if you want more than just a sandwich.
The Eggplant & Tofu Plate ($17) is a solid vegetarian option, while the Green Papaya Mango Salad ($16) adds crunch and freshness. For snacking, the 2 Deep Fried Egg Rolls ($6.50) or Fried Fish Ball Skewers ($8) are great sides.
Drinks deserve a shoutout: the Vietnamese Salty Coffee ($7) is creamy, bold, and surprisingly addictive.

Read moreIt is one of many delicious places you will find in Chinatown/International District. It is tucked away inside Uwajimaya across the street from the light rail entrance. It was my first time eating here. For a busy Saturday afternoon, my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. I had their Saigon Streets Special Plate. Grilled pork, shrimp wrapped sugar cane, grilled shrimp, and fried egg. It comes with your choice of rice or rice noodles. I opted for the rice. Including taxes it costs $16.54. It was amazing! Savory and sweet. The meat was cooked perfectly. Tender, not overcooked and tough. The egg had some runny yolk, which is one of my personal favorite flavors/texture. Great blend of texture and spices. This was one of their more expensive meals, so their overall menu is reasonably priced compared to the surrounding area. I highly recommend trying Saigon Streets while you're...
