The location was great. Street parking was acceptable. There were bike lanes in the front.
We had the upstairs banquet hall for our annual gala, and the entire experience was horrible. There was no accessible lift for people on sticks or in wheelchairs even to the entrance from the street level. The entrance lobby was way too small to handle hundreds of check-in efficiently. We had to stand on street then stairs under the afternoon sun for a long while.
There was no accessible lift for people on sticks or in wheelchairs to go up to the banquet hall. There was a balcony but we were prohibited to go outside. The air circulation was very bad, so many of us had to take out suit jackets after about an hour.
The lighting and table settings were fair. Because it did not have build-in PA systems, the organizers hired four speakers on stand, which were too close to nearby tables. They were loud and hurt our ears very much.
During the speeches, many waiters and waitresses stood in front of kitchen and chatted loudly that interference our programs.
The food quality was average and quantity was too much even for ten adults. The big pile of string beans just upset our appetite! We had a vegetarian, but was served only one mid size rice porridge with one plate of big pile of Chinese broccoli. How could a long running restaurant treat their vegetarian patrons?
Over three hours, no server came to ask if plate is needed cleaned or replaced!
The dishes were extremely slow! When we ended programs at 9pm, there were still two...
Read moreWonderful experience! Delicious food! We went here for my husband's birthday dinner. So yummy 😋. We had the almond fried chicken, broccoli beef, pot stickers, and shrimp with honey walnuts. The potsticker wrappers were light, not too doughy, and just the right balance of tender and crispy! The view is the best part though. Gorgeous views of Lake Union! And they have an event hall upstairs with amazing views too. Wish I had an excuse to rent it! Excellent service and prices are surprisingly reasonable (especially for Seattle). The only negative I can find is that there is a bit of shabbiness to the building -- but it sure didn't decrease my enjoyment of the evening. Hope to be back soon!
FYI, there are cute areas to explore near the building, like various marinas and an...
Read moreWe were seated and ordered. Took almost 40 minutes to get one item (we ordered dim sum). Had to chase down a waitress. Got some of the order, more chasing got more. Had no soy sauce or utensils again chased down a waitress who said I’ll bring it right away and she never returned. Food we did get wasn’t even hot. Some orders never showed up. There were children running through restaurant screaming the entire long and frustrating meal. Really terrible experience. Waitress comped us a soda refill and one of our appetizers(gee thanks) but we weren’t looking to get anything free. We wanted a nice birthday lunch for our daughter. Epic failure, dysfunctional restaurant....
