Scenic Lake abutting Downtown Seattle. Developed, but fairly smartly as seems to be the Seattle way. Gasworks Park at the opposite end from downtown (north), on an abuttment of land with waterways breaking to either side. The lake is lined by marinas and houseboats, many of which are stunning and worth the time to view. You can travel the lake by kayak ( recommend Northwest Outdoor Center, off Westlake Ave N) or electric boat (recommend Electric Boat Co, same location); we did both. Kayaking much less expensive and gives you a more intimate experience. I am sure other options are available, from stand-up paddle-boarding to motorboat rental. The home is spacious and well lit with a beautiful scenic private roof deck and small terrace off the kitchen. Kitchen and bathroom are large and modern. The houseboat has large windows and privacy but allows to take in the views. There is a tv, games, all personal needs, fireplace, and more. 2 large bedrooms that are comfortable and spacious. You don't feel like your on a houseboat because of the space and light....
