Mother India Cuisine — Restaurant in Seattle

The food is good, but the service is pathetic. One of the person who mostly stands at the counter is very rude. He has no sense of how to behave with customers. We went with a great expectation to have a good indian food, but our experience was spoiled just because of this one person.

The person provided us a table next to the counter and we asked for a better place somewhere inside but he rudely rejected our request. He provided the bill and asked us to pay 3 times while we were eating.

Would recommend the owner of the restaurant to look at this and make sure this gets resolved. Other waiters were good but this person needs to understand a better way to behave.

We entered the restaurant at 9.10pm, ordered by 9.15pm (Receipt attached) and were done with our food by 9.45pm but those 40mins were handled in a very unprofessional manner which is evident from the blatant lie that we entered at 9.30pm. And about multiple people leaving comments, 2 of us visited, 2 of us were mistreated, so the 2 of us are leaving a review. Can you also please let me know what are the early hours when customers are treated right? We were mistreated from the second we entered, are you saying that your restaurant closes at 9.45pm and your quality of customer service ends by 9.10pm? This review is not to bring the rating down. I would suggest you not to take this as an attack but as a feedback to improve. The only purpose was to let you know how your customers felt and were treated and we assumed you would want to know and improve on that. The situation could have been handled in a much better way and it's up to you if you want to act on it. Since this seems unprofessional to you, would be interested to know what form of feedback...

Extremely rude server. Kept watching us while we ate. Kept us pushing for the check even when he saw that we were almost done with the food and it wasn't even closing time then. Tip : You shouldn't invite customers in if you do not have the decency to treat...

fter Pasta Freska closed, I was really anxiously awaiting to see what else would come next and boy am I glad that it's MotherIndia!!! It hit me that there's not a lot of Indian places in this area.

We came here with no expectations and got the: Mango Lassi - delicious and sweet Tandoori Platter - all the meats were cooked well and yummy. Came with biryani rice that worked really well Aloo Gobi - this was our favorite - sooooo flavorful. Loved every bit of it. Came with a large plate of basmati rice Lamb Biryani - this was OK. Lamb was good but not a lot of pieces in the rice and the rice was softer and wetter than others we've eaten.

Overall we were super pleased with the food. I am so glad we have a good Indian spot close to us and I will definitely be frequenting here.

We talked to the Chef and it turns out he's coming from our actual favorite Indian restaurant in the area (Kanishka)!! Now we'll just have to see if this one rises above Kanishka - it certainly is closer!

They just opened a week ago and they're still waiting on their liquor license so give them some time to have alcohol. They're also still working out the kinks of operations - service was a little slow and they had some issues with the check out system. But I'm sure they'll work it all out given time.

Can't wait to go back and eat...
