Parking situation is constantly a point of contention with delivery drivers parking in others' spots, non-parking spots and middle of the road, always blocking everyone in and out of the area.
It's been a safety issue and roads are all torn up from cars sitting on the pavement and large food delivery trucks making deliveries. I have already requested from the city to fill in the pot holes from all the damage.
The initial design and choice of location makes no sense. A food delivery pick-up hub, with ZERO parking spots? I primarily fault the initial planning; however, current management should work to find a solution. The ghost kitchens and delivery drivers are trying to earn a living but and there is no where for them to park. The issue with a lot of the gig-economy / lean operation, no one is reachable or held accountable for a systemic issue and everyone affected is getting frustrated.
The business should make an arrangement with 1515 Dexter Ave to rent parking spots from the empty lot there and then advise them to park there.
There is another new building being built on June street and will create even more congestion from...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I tried this for the first time tonight and are sorely disappointed. TLDR: one restaurant messed up my girlfriends order and a different restaurant "forgot" mine.
We're local residents and walked there to order (not through an app). My girlfriend ordered a wrap from Chicken Wraps and Pizza and they just gave her a container of chicken. I ordered from Monk's Paradise who gave me a 15-25 minute wait. After an hour of waiting outside, watching dozens of uber drivers coming in and out with food, I managed to find a phone number and talk to someone who basically said they had forgotten about it. My girlfriend's (incorrect) food had gone cold by this point and I had given up. I tried to tell the person on the phone that I wanted to cancel and refund but he hung up before I could say anything. 15 minutes later someone comes running out with the food and THEN I had to tell him that if he hadn't hung up on me we could have canceled it.
What a bummer. We will not...
Read moreThey’ve taken all the service aspects out of food service and somehow still charge 20 plus for mid food (pickup). 20 dollars for a burger. That again isn’t worth it. 8 dollars a shake, 20 dollar pad Thai had zero flavor or spice when I ordered a 4 star and the portion was small. Location is a clusterfuck and not worth even walking to. Half my order was put in a locker with a button and the other order said to talk to the non-existent front desk. When I asked the person who came by she had no idea what to do. After calling 4 other people up to look around they ended up finding it in a locker they never gave a code for. Much better Thai places down the road for cheaper, more portion size, and less frustration. 8oz is okay, but half of what made 8oz great was the restaurant itself and now you don’t get that but somehow it’s more...
