I've been to Taco Time NW hundreds of times in multiple locations. I grew up with Taco Time NW and I love that they are local and the food is tasty.
Unfortunately, my family had a terrible experience today. We ordered clearly, the employee repeated the order correctly and we made our way to the window. As we sat waiting for our order I noticed an odd individual lingering on the median next to the drive thru window less than a foot from my car. He stared directly at my wife through the passenger window for the several minutes we waited for our order. This was extremely uncomfortable but the employees did not seem concerned even though he was clearly visible to them.
Disconcerted, but with our order finally fulfilled, we departed. My wife checked the bag and found we were missing 1 of our 5 items. We returned to the drive thru lane as the lobby was closed. Upon reaching the speaker I informed the employee of the forgotten soft taco only to be met with skepticism even though we had just been there 2 minutes prior.
When we reached the window another 10 minutes later, the employee insisted on seeing the receipt before they would give us the food we had already paid for. Again, this was the same person who took our order, repeated it correctly, rang it up, gave us the receipt and the order only a few minutes prior. After checking the receipt, they made a face and handed over the food with a tepid "my bad".
I don't mind waiting. I understand if mistakes happen. What I absolutely can't tolerate is terrible attitudes and unwelcome environments at places where I spend money. If you can't even be bothered to pretend you care, maybe customer service is not...
Read moreOn Saturday August 2, 2025, I found that a large group of underprivileged people were attending the music in the park festival in Magnolia at Blaine Park. After speaking with the mentor of those members, we decided that I would walk in and order 63 to go meals. Understandably, this was without notice so I was perfectly okay waiting. I walked in wearing a full uniform for security company that I work for. The restaurant itself was completely empty of customers. One person that was in the front saw me and immediately went into the back to talk to the others. After five minutes of me standing there waiting to be acknowledged, I decided that if they are clearly to busy to even acknowledge my presence, then making such a large order on demand would affect the quality of the meals. It was unfortunate that I had to give that order to their competitor, because I love taco time ice. Those employees that just didn’t seem to care about the customers, probably don’t really realize they cost that restaurant $800-1000 today. Might not seem like much but now we don’t get to talk about the great customer service we received. When we think about catering services for future meetings or events they will never...
Read moreI eat here for lunch almost everyday since I started to work in Seattle, The food is good and works well for my office location.
I do have an issue with some of the staff mainly one of the cashers. They don't seem to know what they are doing, they don't listen to the orders and mess up on things. I have had to repeat my order many times for them, and while waiting in line or sitting down already after my order I have noticed the frustration of other customers.
Other cashers in the past and later shift ones are awesome and make up for the lack of customer service this one person does.
Food is good, and i like the portions. Tater fries are yummy each time :)
I feel the staff overall is good for a fast food location. I do recommend though, if your lines inside get longer, bring someone else upfront to take orders. I've seen many people waiting and then walking out because the one casher is taking a...
