Amazing spot to watch the sunset. If it is a hazy day, the sunset here is still beautiful. I usually like to start of at Kerry Park by clicking some pictures of skyline and Rainier and then walk down the road to this view point. There are plenty of spots here to sit and enjoy the sunset. The sun usually sets behind the mountains giving a nice bright orange light to the sky. If you live near by then this is definitely a spot to check out. For those who like the city skyline, there's Kerry Park. For those who prefer a view of the Olympic Mountains and a spectacular sunset, there this viewpoint. Only a few blocks east of Kerry park, yet on the busiest of days, only encountered a around 10 people, and always found a place to park. Plus, always nice to visit the beautiful garden...
