I grew up on 10th/11th and galer. Late 50s early 60s, even until the 70s. kinnear park was about a green place we could ride our bikes to,meet with friends and swing. Maybe go to the old fashioned candy store, with wood floors, and goodies still in glass jars, 1/2 block away. Lower kinnear was dirt trails, sliding down.... And before the grainery, to 15th, Cross the road to the beach.! During the world's fair, hiking thru the woods off 11th and galer, west queen Anne, down to the waterfront and railroad tracks, we became aware of " hobos". Totally " leave it to beaver" neighborhood. Omg queen Anne hill was special. The boulevard, Carnegie library, west queen Anne elementary school, queen Anne high school. Beautiful. Then the love family. Hippies... Delightful imagination for a 12 year old. And year round snow on the Olympics. Never post, but those...

Really beautiful park to walk through, a nice wooded path, with a few grassy open areas and beautiful views at the top. Benches for a picknick. The open grassy areas tend to usually be pretty quiet and relaxing. The dog park at the bottom of the path is also great!! It's usually been very slow, with not many to no dogs, if your pup isn't the most comfortable around others. Only thing I would dock it on is there are tons of homeless tents and people living in the park area in the wooded, pretty much right off the walking path..... But in their defense most of the set up camps are unbelievably well kept and free of overflowing garbage. I used to volunteer to clean abandoned homeless camps 6 years ago and man if they were all like the ones I saw today, It would...

Decent little park that seems mostly wasted given its location. Upper area has gorgeous views of the sound and was pretty quiet/empty. Came here to check out the dog park with my pup, and discovered it’s a bit of a hike down (and then back up) which is less than ideal. Dog park was completely empty which was not a huge surprised given that it’s not easily accessible — there was a small parking lot coming off of 15th that (maybe?) had a couple few public spots, but the majority was private property for the nearby business. It’s a shame to see any off leash dog park wasted, especially one so central to the city. Didn’t see any homeless encampments today (6/23/24) as everyone’s mentioning here, but maybe...

On map says Busy! Great! Went there not even a few dogs not even 1. Wow! Nice trails for elder, retired and boring atmosphere. No rest rooms, but one Porta. There are 2 locations at Kinnear. one lower , where there is a 3 slot parking for your vehicle and a pin for your buddy can play. With balls, toys and recycled ♻️ bins. NO source of water or restrooms at the bottom. At the higher level of Kinnear there are restrooms but closed. The top of this facility has a Great View of Elliott Bay and the parking spot on the other side. Nice place, really quiet 🤫, Great hopefully for the summer Nice to get probably a Great Tan, for an Hot Summer 🔥 🥵 this year 2022!

I love this place because it has great views (overlooking the Pacific Ocean by the Old Grainery also above Myrtle Edwards), great fenced in dog play area, parking on two sides, a tennis court, a nicely paved trail great for a quick exercise, and just overall a nice Greenbelt on the Queen Anne side very central to Downtown Seattle. Right now this area is being used to shelter between 10-20 homeless encampments which house around 25 people. From my knowledge everyone is very stable and pleasant to be around should you see anyone on the trail. One night I saw a barbed owl and it was the most amazing experience. See photos below.

This park has great potential! Fairly large public space / park. Several lookout spots with benches and a few picnic tables. Full sized tennis court and a small off leash dog area. Some spots inside this park are very well maintained. Others are neglected. On my last visit I noticed a few areas with lots of trash / clothing items / rubbish within close proximity to the few homeless tents that look to have been set up for quite some time now. The dog park can get quite muddy in the rainy months. No restrooms and only street parking at the top entrance with very limited parking at the bottom entrance.
