I got the carne asada plate & it was very very mediocre. The plate was $19- which is a bit pricey. The rice tasted terrible, no flavor or salt or anything really. I ate one forkful of it and left the rest on the plate. The beans definitely taste canned and also lacked salt. The meat was okay, also a little under salted & not the softest/chewiest. The roasted jalapeño & sausage they added to it were super yummy. The tortillas, eh…just store bought ones that weren’t heated up the best…overall not a great meal and for that price, I was regretting my choice and thinking that I should’ve just gonna to a nice sit down restaurant because I would’ve paid about the same. I gave this place a shot because it had a good amount of reviews- definitely a mistake. I’m not sure how it has that many good reviews, maybe it’s just white people thinking it tastes...
Read moreI've been going to Taqueria El Asadero for over 12 years. During that time, I've tried several other taco trucks, and recently, there's been a few opening up on Rainier Avenue, which I did try. While these have good food, they don't come close to El Asadero's delicious food. They don't even compare. The only criticism I had in the past was the amount of fat in the birria (which never stopped me from ordering it). Though, in the last year or two, I've noticed that has changed. I'm rarely picking fat out of the meat. So, if you are looking for a Taco truck with the most delicious food and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend you go to El Asadero. You...
Read moreTaco meat is clearly old, and dry tasting. The clintatro isn’t chopped but instead the leafs are just pulled off and placed onto the tacos. The tortillas are cold and dry. If you’ve had good tacos, you know this isn’t the place to go to. I’ve had indigestion multiple times from eating there. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I ate there multiple times.
I don’t like onion very much and i said tacos without onion and they gave me plain tacos with nothing, not even cilantro so I asked for them place cilantro and the lady took my plate, set it to the side and took orders leaving my food to get cold. My dad had to tell her to get my food prepared the way I ordered and that’s when she finally did. Putting cilantro on tacos is a quick and easy task, it wasn’t like I told her to remake...
