TLDR PLAIN CHICKEN BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD Ordered a large bowl half and half which is 12.99 very affordable for the how much u get. That is a pro. Regardless of the different flavors half and half is 12.99 so we got the sweet chili sauce and plain. The plain chicken is GROSS. Literally took one bite and it tasted stale and smelly idk how to even describe it. Like chicken that was older and cooked. We told them the plain did not taste good and asked if we could have a sauce on the side instead of them remaking the whole thing. Cause I felt bad to ask for refund or even for them to remake it. They told us they have to charge us for a sauce even though in a large bowl that’s half and half it’s 12.99 regardless of flavors. The employee kept reiterating cause we ordered plain and chili the two flavors that’s it. We ordered it aka too bad. The owner then came out… and she said we ordered plain for the other half so that’s that. And that plain has no flavor… ummm I’ve had Korean plain fried chicken and pretty sure it didn’t smell. I told her it doesn’t taste good at all and it smells. You honestly need the sauce cause the chili sauce masks the stale flavor of the chicken. She then said okay and reluctantly gave us a sauce which was literally like in a small sauce container. I don’t understand… if a customer orders something that is a plain fried chicken without sauce it shouldn’t be hard to give them a small sauce container… instead they insisted they have to charge even though the price wouldn’t have changed if we had ordered another flavor. Attached a picture of the price of the 12.99 for half and half and also the sauce container….. that they felt like we shouldn’t...
Read moreSweet little place with very reasonably priced menu! The food is great! But the reason that motivated me to write the review is because things they did to go beyond serving delicious food.
First thing I like about this place is that they have different sizes you can order, from a skewer to a large bowl. It can be a late night snack or a meal. More importantly, they let you mix flavors when you order a bowl (regular or large). Unlike Pelicana, I can choose two flavors without being ripped off big time! That’s been a pain point of mine ordering Korean fried chicken in Seattle. Now it’s solved.
Also something I keep noticing is that I can tell a lot of care goes into the food and the business from looking at little details they put into the store and takeout packaging. Well-trained polite staffs who take orders, types of side dishes, little stickers they use to indicate the flavors on the packaging, and etc. tell me that they will also put just as much effort into the food if not more.
