Voi Cà Phê is the best Viet coffee and banh mi I have tried in Seattle. The family that owns the coffee shop also used to run a cafe in Saigon. Here are some favorites: * Nem Nướng Hà Nội bánh mì: My favorite dish here. I believe the pork sausage patty is homemade. The bánh mì always comes out perfectly no matter which sandwich you order. * Cà Phê Sữa Đá: You can tell how good a Viet coffee spot is based on this coffee drink, and it’s perfext. * Phở Bò bánh mì: Very unique as you can’t find it anywhere else. * Gà Viên Nướng bánh mì * Đặc Biệt bánh mì The Phở Spice Latte was interesting and tastes just like phở, but I prefer the signature cà phê sữa đá. I usually just get the mini version of the bánh mì as it is a sufficient portion. They have a small takeout window that you can order from, and the staff is always super nice. They also support sustainable practices.

Pho spice latte is really good! I had it hot with oat milk. It was nice and smooth with an anise-like cinnamon pho flavor profile. I also had their cold cut special banh mi. It was almost great. Almost. High quality cold cuts and really nice crisp light airy bread, but it missed the mark on the do chua (picked veggies). The carrots and daikon just tasted sweet and hardly a hint of the tangy vinegar element that is so iconic for banh mi. Maybe I caught the veggies on a bad day, but it's still a decent sandwich regardless. The specialty coffee is good. I'd get that again. Parking is street parking around the block, or you can park at the Sabey lot just northeast of the shop, but will have to cross the somewhat busy road.

A small storefront that you might easily walk past but trust me you want to try this place out! Saw this was recommend by Infatuation and swung by after checking out the Georgetown flea market. We got the pork sausage bahn mi (featured on infatuation) and it didn’t disappoint. The bread and the pickles were the star for me, next time I come I’m definitely going to try out the classic (cold cut) bahn mi + one of their specialty coffees. It was ~$10 for a bahn mi, on the pricier side but it’s a speciality bahn mi / on the larger side so I think it’s worth it! They have a small outdoor seating area, no indoor seating. Also no bathrooms and they only take card.

Ordered the pho beef bahn mi with pho broth and shrimp bahn mi, and condensed milk viet ice coffee and miso butterscotch coffee.

Pho beef bahn mi with broth: this sandwich was flat out bad. Beef slices were cold and dry. Dipping the sandwich in the broth made it taste a little better, but there was nothing special about this bahn mi. Broth was also very unbalanced - way too heavy on star anise, without any sweetness. Def not meant to be sipped as stand-alone broth. Why serve things like this on the menu? It only hurts your business. Bc of this alone, I will not return.

Shrimp bahn mi: better, but again nothing special. The warmth brought the bread back from the dead though.

Viet coffee: 4/5, a bit over the top on sweetness, but not bad.

Miso butterscotch coffee: very different, wasn’t bad, was fun to try this combo of flavors, but in the end it was tough to finish a whole 12oz of this stuff. Better to have as a sip than an entire cup.

Overall, I appreciated the attempts to make eclectic food, but if you’re going to try something different, you shouldn’t forget that at the end of the day it still needs to taste good. This place does a lot of things, but based on the 4 items we got, they didn’t do any single item very well. Also, everything was around $55 including tip. So docked another star for the lack of...

Unfriendly employees. Takeout only.

Edit: I’m not sure what was so threatening about a young female taking 3 elderly Vietnamese relatives to try out a trendy coffee shop. We were just as confused about why the employees were so terrified of us. Since they told me to be ashamed of myself, I’m lowering to 1 star.

Edit 2: After reading your response, I'm disappointed by your hostile and unprofessional attitude towards customer feedback. Quoting your reply: "You should be ashamed of yourself" and "you are a bad person and absolutely should be ashamed of yourself." It's concerning to see a business react this way to honest feedback.

I've also noticed that other reviewers who left negative feedback were similarly bullied, being called "picky eaters," among other things. If you're not open to critical feedback, perhaps being in the service industry isn't the right fit. It seems this place is more about hype than genuine...
