I’ve been searching for a new favorite brunch experience for years, and at long last I found it at The Hangar 😌 When I arrived, the hostess, (who I found out later was the owner), made sure I knew that there was a wait for seating and food preparation, and I can’t be grateful enough that I took the time to eat here. While I waited for my food to be prepared, the atmosphere was charming, refreshing and relaxing, encompassed by plant life hanging from the trellises. It was a lovely place to breathe and center myself. I ordered the lemon panna cotta waffles along with the chorizo and eggs crepes, and both were prepared to perfection. Toni was gracious and was happy to accommodate my dietary substitution requests. The lemon and raspberry were perfectly balanced in the waffles, with the whipped cream on the side subtly sweetened, allowing the full flavor of the cream to shine through. The seasoning and flavors of the stuffing in the crepes blended and flowed together in a way that each stood out without overpowering each other. I am so excited to return and taste everything else she has to offer! An exquisite dining experience coupled with a cozy down to earth environment and an attentive, lovely host. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

We came to Hanger Café around 9 AM on a Sunday morning and were seated right away — perfect timing since it wasn’t too busy yet. The food was absolutely delicious! They specialize in crêpes, both savory and sweet, with a great variety of fillings to choose from. If you’re in a hurry, you might want to let the staff know — the place got pretty busy and the food took a little while, but we didn’t mind since we weren’t in a rush. It’s a small, cozy spot with a charming vibe. There’s plenty of outdoor seating with blankets available in case you get chilly. I especially loved the quirky touch of each table having a different set of salt shakers — so cute! Sitting outside was lovely; you can enjoy the scent of flowers and occasionally hear planes taking off, which we found surprisingly pleasant rather than distracting. The staff was super friendly, and everything was clean and well cared for. The only thing to note is that you’ll need to find street parking, but overall, this place is definitely worth the visit. We’ll be back for sure!

Hidden but delicious. We had a 20 minute wait outside well worth. Coming in we got time to see the menu and begin with drinks. Irish creme latte and brown sugar latte were the best thing ever. It was not too sweet. After drinks we were informed that food would be a while because they were busy and short staffed in the kitchen. Their honesty was amazing and we honestly did not mind waiting. It was a beautiful environment to wait in and our waitress was very sweet, always smiling. We ordered The Hangar and it was really good. It was new and it did not disappoint. Also ordered a coco crepe which was a little too nutty but they're so open that you can say, less nuts please. I ordered the Chipotle bean wrap and it was very fulfilling. I enjoyed every bite. I also ordered a strawberry chocolate waffle and the whip cream plus syrup was goodness. Their habanero sauce was the right amount of spice. Our waitress was soo nice and gave us a $2 off on our next visit for being patient. We absolutely will go back.

We ate at this spot a few months ago while in Seattle and we loved it, not just because the food was pretty good but the service was excellent as well. This time was a very bad experience. We had to wait outside in the rain for 45 minutes for a table and when we finally got sat on the mostly covered back patio, we noticed there were at least 4-6 open tables. I understand that they were probably staggering seating new tables to deal with the kitchen being backed up, but it felt silly to make us wait in the rain when we could have waited at a table. Then we ordered a round of coffees and got 3 out of 4 of them and were told they had to brew another pot. 20 minutes later we finally got our 4th coffee. An hour after ordering, our food hadn’t arrived and we were getting pretty hangry so I asked if there was anything that we could nibble on since we had been waiting so long. Our server said she’d bring us a coffee cake, which we wolfed down happily. By the time we got our food we had been at the restaurant for more than two hours. But she brought me the wrong entree and when I told her she argued and said that she heard me say that I wanted the burrito instead of the waffle that I ordered. Our server didn’t even acknowledge that anything was wrong let alone offer to take care of anything, and she charged us for the coffee cake. All in all, we were there for...

Service was non existent and the wait AFTER being sat was ridiculous. Waited 12min before the owner/server came up to us. Finally Walked up and only said “ready for food?” No greeting. No name. No explanation of her being busy. I assume this is just normal for her.

Waited 40min for a breakfast burrito and crepe. Total time at this place took 1.5hrs.

Owner/server needs to hire staff. She seems to do it all herself without asking her current employee up front for much help with the tables. When we asked to put food in with the employee who got us drinks she said “I can’t do that”, which leads me to think this woman/owner wants to do everything herself and not hire staff. (Control freak vibes) This employee is on payroll, let them take tables and keep your restaurant flowing.

The owner/server brought a party of 4 back to a table that was not cleared. The group awkwardly stood there watching while she moved the dirty plates and napkins to a different also dirty table.

I’m usually very understanding as I’ve worked in this industry as a server/bartender for years. But this was just an awful experience for us unfortunately and had to leave my first 1...
