We stopped in for dinner after walking the circle. It had been a very busy day with the Rotary Chili Cookoff happening earlier in the day. The beverage server was attentive, quick witted and prompt.
I don't know that I'll ever get used to having to place separate orders for drinks and food. I get the concept (the food is completely separate from the bar) but it's still unusual.
The dining area gets really loud and seems crowded even when not packed because of the way the seating is set-up (narrow, long tables so people can be packed in elbow to elbow, face to face and back to back like sardines). One of the toilets wouldn't flush (both restroom are gender neutral so I couldn't be more specific).
They offer sweet tea and iced tea but didn't have any sweetener for the iced tea (since not everyone likes traditional super sweet tea). I had an oatmeal stout and it was delicious (not brewed in house). I also had a Sugar Sans Dirty Blonde (brewed in house) and it was very flat and a bit tangier than I expected (maybe on the old and borderline rancid side?).
We had the Farmer's Revenge, Haus Boss, Truffle Yet Feathers (with truffle tots), basket of tots and the fried ravioli (which I hoped would come out as an appetizer but didn't - will add that in the notes section next time). All the food was really good - the only complaint was that the tots, although crispy, were barely warm.
The food is brought to the table by the actual cooks...which is a nice touch... although our cook couldn't remember the name Truffle Yer Feathers and just called it the...
Read moreTypical Sebring service.. Its a bizarre establishment with terrible service. Went on a Saturday afternoon with my grandparents. Its pretty confusing for people who aren't used to QR codes, so ordering was a little difficult. You can't order regular drinks like soda or tea with the food, its separate.. The food took like 45 minutes to come out and it was only half the table. the other half of the table waited an additional 20 minutes. The servers were so neglectful and never came by or refilled our drinks for the very, very long time we were there. We were literally sipping on melted ice most of the time we were there. The kitchen brought us the food, not the servers.. Even though we paid for our meal through the QR ordering, we were basically held hostage there just to try and pay for a coke and a tea since its paid separately. We had to hunt a server down just to pay the $5 or so dollars so we can leave.
Overall crappy experience. The food was actually pretty good but not hot. Also the chairs at the high-tops are very uncomfortable.

Read moreThe burgers were...OK although there can be no variation of 'done-ness' (medium was fine with me but other members of our party liked them well-done, which was not available.) Also, these are two separate establishments, food and brewery, and they go to great lengths to remind us of that separation. Therefore, you pay two bills, one for food and one for drinks (beer). The wait staff was from the brewery side and they were friendly and pleasant although I did not like the music (urban music complete with profanity and sex). I try to support local businesses and recognize the difficulty in attracting customers especially in the Sebring Circle (we came as a result of the HGTV "Hometown Renovations" series) which is why this rating is a half-star higher than I would normally give it. I look forward to trying the other eateries in the Circle but I won't be...
