50/50 shot on if their steam wand is broke.Between this and the price jacking I'm done. Like if you can only make one hot drink at a coffee shop, why are you not putting out signage for customers so they don't waste time in line just to be told they can't have what they want? That steam wand has been on the fritz for what seems like a couple years now and I am staking my peaceful mornings on a coffee shop that can't take care of their coffee machines. Lack of maintenance alludes to lack of cleaning too. I await competition in the area to literally throw my money at.
Reply to the Owner: So as the owner you're recommending Kuerig to customers as a sufficient replacement for your coffee? At least you're honest. I have a Phillips espresso machine at home and it's steam wand actually works, would that be better?
But it is very brave of you to announce the poor quality of water you use for your coffee that you sell to customers. Again, applause for honesty.
Now that I feel I have been equally condescending to you, I'm Curious what did you intend to accomplish with that reply? Is it that customers aren't allow to voice their consistent frustrations without you taking it personally? Or did my words just hit too close to home so you felt the need to lash out? Or is this complaint is nothing new and you just can't figure out a solution yet? Is any of that my fault? No. It's your failure. So you've identified hard water as the issue and it is costing you business. And your current attempts to solve this haven't been reliable. Sounds like you need to try something else instead of getting pissy with the most honest review you're gonna get. You think I hate you? You think I want you to fail? No in fact I want you to do very well. Who wants a bad coffee shop near them? Hell, a really good one can raise property values. No, my complaint here is an evident decline in reliability of your establishment over the past ~2 years.
You used to be part of my peaceful mornings that you're so quick to demean in anger. But now when I and other customers take the time to wait in line, before clocking in for work, or during a weekend morning, we are greeted with a sheepish smile and an excuse that amounts to "You're not going to get what you want, do you want an Americano instead?"
It isnt my fault your machines are as reliable as McDonald's Ice Cream machines. Nor is it my perogative as a customer to care about the excuses you've given me; thats your concern and your risk in the transaction. Not anyone elses'.
Being short with someone that has been customer over the past 6 years isn't going to improve your situation. People can take or leave my one star review as it is. You're the one who has a business with a reputation at stake here; and that reply is the foot you decided to put forward? Blame dirty city water and tell me to get a Keurig? The economy can't be that bad for you if you feel you can afford to treat customers like that. Meanwhile for other business is great and they are looking for reliable places to buy coffee to supplement their peaceful mornings. If only there was a mutually beneficial arrangement those two parties could come to! Oh well, back in the wallet the surplus disposable income goes!
Hell of a hill you've chosen to die on, lady. It's...
Read moreI waited over a year to post this 1 star review. I want so badly for it to be a 5. I have been coming to Mo Glo for years. One thing that has always been hard to deal with but that we plan for is how slow they are. I give myself 10-15 mins to get a coffee if there are 3 or more cars in line just to be safe. If there are 4 or more we won’t even stop. It has been a constant through the years, but we just accepted it because it’s the only close coffee shop.
The thing that has gotten soooo bad I’ve the last couple years is how often they are closed. They are just randomly closed several times a month. A couple years ago there would be a sign. Now we have a running joke in our house taking bets on if it is open or closed. I understand them being a small business. I too owned my own small company, however the amount of times it is closed definitely seems excessive for a business who is customer focused. Especially with multiple employees.
The other issue is they are constantly dealing with the equipment being down. 6 times in one year I tried to get coffee and the steam wand was broken. It would have been less of an issue if I didn’t have to wait so long to find out I can’t order.
I think it’s a great little shop with very friendly people and tons of potential. However, the way it has been ran and the inconsistencies are now starting to become talk in the community. The people I speak with at the schools, a few conversations with surrounding businesses and when it comes up at things like the kids sporting events, the conversations seemed to be more concerned or complaints than being happy with the coffee shop.
It really sucks because I want to love it and it would be terrible to lose another small coffee shop in the...
Read moreChanged my rating from 5 stars (9 months ago) to 1 today. I won't be going back after my experience today...too bad. The coffee shop down the road has much better service and hotter drinks. High prices just like anywhere and the service has really gone downhill lately. Don't ever order more than a few drinks cuz they get attitude and can't handle that many at once. Plus they made me go inside the store to order after waiting in line for quite some time and it took forever to get my drinks, and they weren't made correctly or with love like they were in the past. On top of that the lady who took my order had the nerve to make a comment on how gross one of the drinks sounded. Not her place to do that and I thought it was really...
