It’s unfortunate for me to have to give this location a bad review But I’m sick of coming here and spending 20 minutes here every single time. Today with my experience I spent 20 minutes sitting at the drive-through box while the lady cleared the line. She did say that she will get to me in a moment and 15 minutes had passed and I had heard nothing. Somebody had pulled up to the stall about 10 minutes after I had arrived and placed their order at the stall and was serviced before me. Customers started getting out of line that were behind me as a result of also waiting the excess amount of time, I did tell the second person who was pulling away that I had been there for 20 minutes. The lady who was inside the sonic did say that she was short staffed after I mentioned to a customer that was leaving that I had been there for 20 minutes. This is not a shortcoming on the woman who was struggling to run the store by herself. This is a shortcoming on the management who is failing to hire and retain Employees. I’ve worked fast food for many years prior to this experience And it is typically a first come first Serve basis, but not if you skip the drive through and order at the stalls— you get served before the people who had been waiting in line for an excess amount of time. I decided to use the drive-through this time around because I always was spending 20 minutes in the stalls Because drive-through was the priority and I just wanted a quick in and out experience and that did not happen.
Sonic, you need to do better for your employees. Nobody should sit in a drive thru for 20 minutes because your staff are struggling to keep up with the volume.
Also, the potholes in your parking lot are absolutely ridiculous and almost took out my front end. It is a private parking lot do something to fix that.

Read moreUpdate: This team is awesome! I really can't say it enough. When I got home I switched into my jammies and came out to the counter to grab my food and realized my burger was not there. Booooo. It happens so I gave them a call and the sweet young lady that answered the phone says to me, "I saw it as you were leaving and couldn't get it to you! Would you like us to make you another one or do you want us to put you on the board for your next visit?" I told her I would be there in 3 minutes, when I pulled up my burger was ready and it was a fresh one to boot! She handed it to me with a card for next trip anyway and a drawing 🥰but I'm just so grateful they made a fresh one. What a wonderful team - thank you for making my night a good one!
Update 5yrs later: I really tested the limit of this crew this morning. I ordered 24 drinks route 44 size two different flavors and one combo meal with a medium drink. They killed it it was awesome and if any of you are reading this you effing killed it! magnificent guys!
I will not go there anymore. I keep thinking and telling myself "oh they probably fired and rehired so maybe it'll be different." It. NEVER. Is. Ever. Slow, cold food, order is never right, employees are rude...it is a terrible place which is awful because honestly sonic is my favorite and I won't do it. Done. 20 minutes waiting yesterday. They didn't hear half of my order. They got frustrated and had attitude with me. Oh, I'm sorry, you messed up my order that you're being paid to take care of. Want to know what happens if I mess up a massage? Someone can be hurt or I comp an entire hour so I tend to do my best not to mess up because that's how work is supposed to be. I pressed the red button and waited to be answered. I sat patiently, and waited on the crew to acknowledge me and take my order. This gave me plenty of time to take in the store in all of its filthy splendor. This place is gross. I ended up waiting so long that the the screen reset and no longer said that, "the red button had been pressed, and someone will be right with you."
After such an unacceptable wait, I decided to call the store directly to maybe speak with a shift lead and see what's up. Technical issues happen, I guess, so I was offering the benefit of the doubt. Surprise surprise, the crew couldn't be bothered with answering the phone.
(Un)fortunately, the store manager had posted his phone number to the board. Figured I'd call and see if he wanted to hear from me about my questions and concerns since his card posted says that he "wants to hear from you, please reach out with any questions or concerns."
The general manager, Zachary Dittoe answered the phone very rudely and was nothing short of rude and dismissive. He had no interest in communicating. Or customer service. He was obviously disinterested and could not care less. With amazing leadership like this, it's absolutely no wonder this store runs so poorly.
I should have read the reviews, but you can benefit from my mistake. Don't waste your time or money here. This place has taken over the (obviously coveted) title of WORST SONIC IN SOUTHERN COLORADO.
Update 5 December 2024: Still the worst.
I was sent here on an errand. I was told to order a medium strawberry slush. Look at this garbage.
