Spent $20 on donuts served by the owners young son when asked if I wanted a receipt I said no unfortunately and went home to check that I was charged $24. When I called to asked what the extra $4 was for the husband/owner stared yelling saying "come get your money than I don't know what happen just come get it" he was extremely rude and did not care about what had happened when i just wanted to know why, so I decided to go in person and the owners son addmited to charging the extra $4 but would not tell me why as the father/owner stood behind him again being very rude and aggressive about the whole situation saying "just take your money" it's $4 so I knew it wasn't the end of the world and wasn't looking for a refund I just wanted to know why I was charged the extra $4 and how many others have they done this to! Absolutely THE best donuts I've had in Missouri. My experience? I grew up in the donut business and I know the difference between a well made donut and a poorly made donut. This family uses great products, fry their donuts in clean oil and the donuts are HUGE! The first time we went there our donuts were warm, absolutely delicious. But even a couple weeks later, at 1 PM, our donuts were still very good. The lady who helped us was friendly and helpful. I needed a donut fix while traveling thru Sedalia. I prefer to do business with a local shop vs stopping at WalMart. I could have bought donuts at Casey's or another gas station but why buy one that has been sitting there so long it could be used to pound nails?!
