Yolis — Restaurant in Seguin

OMG!! So we drove from Kyle to Seguin in search of different places with good tacos, and so glad we stumbled upon this "little hole in the wall". Was hidden, but they say those are the BEST places, and y'all, it was!! HOMEMADE EVERYTHING, corn tortillas have so much flavor, flour as well, and tacos are HUGE and so filling! It's like 2 tacos in one for price of one. Onto the Birria, now I make birria tacos, and love mine, so to find a place that pleases me just as much has been a test (we tried tejas birria and weren't as impressed as most), but these right here, man o man... No Complaints! The same flavorful homemade corn tortilla is used and gah lee, it's so delicious in addition to the consome and flavor of meat! The only thing I will say to those that love them SUPER CRISPY, these were not, but because I have braces the texture of these were perfect for me and the flavor alone just hinders that. We only got to try red salsa as there was no green on hand, so hoping next time they will, but that's okay their food was good enough to where that wasn't an issue. Very rude people. I wanted carne guisada tacos the young waitress told me they were out of that. I was thinking what the hell. Then men come after me and are seated . The same waitress that took my order took there and he ordered carne guisada tacos just like me but he got his . Very unprofessional . Almost felt like it was because I was white. I don't do the whole racial thing but I really felt like because I was a white chick she said they didn't have any of that. Because the Spanish man ordered what I wanted and got it. Poor services. Very rude and unprofessional. That's the whole reason I went there for the tacos I wanted because I liked them from when I ate there before with my Spanish friend . But he wasn't with me this time. So I give them a bad rating because everybody should be treated fairly and the same. I got no but the next person got told yes for the same...

Good prices… however- Chile Relleno is my favorite dish to get at Mexican restaurants. Unfortunately, I’ve had a frozen meal Chile Relleno that tasted far better than Yolis. I’m vegetarian, so I ordered the cheese filled Chile Relleno. After I go to pick it up, I cut into the first bite and it’s very bland. The breading feels like stretchy, wet skin, and it’s not very appetizing. After a couple bites, I cut open the rest of the pepper and see that it’s filled with ground beef. Even though I was very upset about this, I’m not the kind of person to go back and ask for a new one- I also have a short lunch break so I didn’t have time to go back. I’m sure their food isn’t all mediocre, but this was a big disappointment because I did specifically ask for cheese, and the entree wasn’t good anyway. Wouldn’t advise getting the Chile Relleno- even the meat...
