Old Fashioned Ice Cream — Restaurant in Selma

Ice cream was great, the side of attitude was not. I admit coming 10 minutes before close was where I made my mistake but I live half an hour from Selma and decided to stop by since I was in the area at that time & I wanted my cousin to try it. I do come here often & it has become apparent that I would only rate the customer service 5 stars when certain people are working. The eye rolling of employees when I pulled up was off putting but I used to work in food service & can understand where they are coming from. I placed my order as quick as possible & we were out of there by 7:56 which was still before the closing time of 8. Handing me my ice cream with an attitude is another issue and I’m not sure I want to come back after that. If they’re going to have an issue. they should make their new store...

This quaint little ice-cream shop manages to retain a sense of nostalgia and forward thinking. There is no scent quite as comforting as homemade ice-cream and the new interior design is sweet and serene. With all of the nostalgia, the owner doesn't let this business get stuck in the past. Many events take place here such as open mic where local authors and amateurs are welcome to talk about our feelings while enjoying ice-cream. There is always a promotion of some sort happening so you won't break the bank. The flavor variety and creativity puts Baskin Robbins to shame. And of course, the adult flights have combined ice-cream with just enough kick to put a smile on any (21 years or older) face

Me and my husband enjoy the ice cream. BUT today about 5 minutes ago we walked out!! We walked in and wasn’t greeted when we spoke. One young lady did acknowledge us as we approached the register. At the same time me and my husband asked the other two were they sleeping, do you just not speak? Well the male looked up (took a break from eating his ice cream) rolled his eyes and still didn’t speak, the other female refused to speak as well. Well I told them I rather spend my money in a more pleasant environment. Did the 2 care NO! But the other young lady apologized for the incident.
