Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice - Seminole — Restaurant in Seminole

Could not believe they brought this gem to the Tampa Bay area! Have been comparing any and all "Hawaiian shaved ice" to this establishment ever since we had it in Hawaii and NOTHING ever compared, not even remotely close.

Went on grand opening day and as soon as we pulled up, that Aloha feel was in the air. The warmth of the team, the leis placed on us, the beautiful energy radiating from everyone, just pure joy and smiles. Got to even meet the founder David, which was such treat!

Onto the shaved ice... It was as if I was transported back to Hawaii. Exactly the same powder soft ice with the most delicious syrups that weren't overly sweet and purely authentic to Hawaii. Nothing, no shops or stores could ever imitate these flavors! The authentic mochi, the coconut ice cream, the condensed milk cap... I was a giddy kid!

First time experiencing Ululanis Hawaiian Shave Ice in Seminole and it was impressive!! Very inviting entryway which continues a nice clean and refreshing vibe inside!! This establishment is kept meticulously clean which is definitely a plus!! They have an extensive menu that contains a mix of house specialty selections or you can customize your shaved ice with a multitude of ingredients and toppings!! They have delicious ice cream flavors in addition to the shaved ice!! The staff on hand were very nice and also helpful in helping me decide on what to order!! The shaved ice is made to order with their special shaved ice machines, so it takes a little while but it definitely is worth the wait!! I had the Sunset Beach shaved ice this time and it was absolutely delicious!!! Loved the tropical flavors and it also was very colorful!! They have 2 seating areas inside and also seating out front. Ululani’s is awesome! I fell in love with this tasty dessert while on vacation in Maui several years ago. I was thrilled to see them come to my area in Florida. There is a true art in creating these delightful treats! They take time and worth it. Today I ordered the Local Motion with coconut ice cream as the base! It was so delicious. The only thing that they need to do is add a wee more syrup. They did offer it to me when they brought it to me, so I think they are getting a handle on just how much syrup they actually need on each Hawaiian Shaved Ice. It’s a learning curve they will master! The store itself is adorable and inviting! The merch is great! Pro Tip: look at the menu before you go.
