Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Sevierville

We went here for lunch today, normally when we come we are in & out with our food today was not the case. Honestly, we got in the restaurant it was Not busy at all! We got sat & ordered our food in less than 5 min, the server was super sweet & helpful with questions we had. But we sat for about 40 min waiting on breakfast food. I’m talking eggs, hasbrowns, bacon, etc. Things that do not take long to make at all, or from my experience working in the food industry, items that were made that morning & not freshly made to order. I ordered an egg over easy on my plate, the plate was brought out & was absolutely burning hot, which in my experience means it has been sitting in the window for quite sometime. There was 2 of us at the table for our lunch break from work. That is just crazy to us that we had to wait that long for our food while the restaurant was not busy at all. Spoke with a manager and the manager, Jeremy, was very rude. Stated we could stay & he would remake our dishes or we could leave as is. At that point the food is terrible my over easy eggs had turned into medium well eggs from the window by the time it made it to the table & honestly we were not able to stay any longer to wait for remade food. We informed Jeremy that we were on lunch break & couldn’t wait any longer for food to be remade, did he offer a discount because our food was absolute trash? No, he indirectly said ‘Too bad, stay for a remake or leave’ No offering a discount because we just sat & waited for about 40 min for premade food to come out, could we risk another 40 min on a 30 min lunch break? No. especially when cracker barrel is known for their speedy service. He kept saying he wanted to make sure we left happy, but I’ll be honest we left upset and still hungry without time to stop anywhere else! Sad we had to walk out with empty stomachs. We come here often, but will definitely choose a new location due to this being the 3rd bad experience in a row at this...

Let me start by saying the service from my waitress Ashley (I may have misspelled server number 1888845) was top notch! I believe she was new as her Apron did not have her name. That being said, Taylor who she shared her section with was very disrespectful and rude. She literally yelled at my server for not introducing both of them at the same time. Policy states parties over 8 must be split. This particular party was 8 (maybe 9 but their possible addition was still at work and Taylor was no where to be found) Ashley greeted every table promptly and checked back per policy like she should have. For Taylor to go up to her INFRONT of customers and raise her voice was very unprofessional and just unwarranted. (Please dear, get over yourself and your $15 tip, because there's no way on God's green Earth I'd have let someone talk to me like that and kept my composer) it also seemed Taylor went and told one of the leads and the lead then scolded Ashley. Y'all please calm down and quit being so messy. I APPLAUD Ashley and her professionalism through out the whole ordeal and tipped her extra just for having to deal with the snarky entitlement that this store obviously has no issue exposing. PS if she ever reads this, honey you can go find a much better work home any day and make much better...

Out server was very rude, one thing,she threw a bowl of gravy on our table. She was slow in bringing our food out,even though the Restaruant was not busy, we asked for syrup to be warmed and for some extra butter. We had too ask her 2 separate times for this,as well as the gravy as she only brought a small bowl of gravy out with biscuits for my husband and myself. We asked for a side of pancakes, which,she tried to charge us more than menu said and attempted to charge us extra for hash brown casserole,even though they were part of our ordered meal. We caught this at the end when she gave us our bill. We noticed the discrepancy,brought to her attention and she stood and argued with us. We just told her,forget it,she went and adjusted bill by a few cents,which we didn’t appreciate. She again threw our bill on table,and then left. Never seen us again.
