We stopped by for dinner today following a recommendation. 🤦🤦🤦 It was not good and while I usually give a restaurant two attempts before never returning, this one earned the "never returning badge" on the first try.

The waitress was very friendly and our drinks and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. 4.5 stars for just her service alone. We ordered ham and cheese omelets, fried apples, pancakes and sausage. The omelets were over-cooked, 2 of the pancakes were burnt and had to be sent back. The other two pancakes were borderline burnt. The fried apples were a strange brown color that I have never seen before. The soda we ordered had a strange sour taste to it. When the waitress brought out the new pancakes, we had to drown them in syrup to get them to soften up so they could be eaten. They were hot though, which we appreciate.

While we were eating, we were being attacked by various flies. It was disappointing to say the least, but as long as they were not trying to share our food by landing on it, we made do.

The worst part was when I went to pay, the host asked how our meal was. I expressed my disappointment kindly and the response was, "Sorry to hear that. Your total is $xx.xx." Ouch! Any response other than his programmed, unsympathetic response would have been welcomed. Also, be aware that a credit card fee is added to your bill prior to paying. The notice of the fee is posted in the restaurant in several places but I was surprised to see it on the bill before paying. It is unknown if this fee is removed if you choose to pay with cash.

I don't recommend eating here. It just is not a great experience or atmosphere except for the nice server who tries hard with the conditions she has...

The atmosphere and customer service were fantastic. The food not so much.

I was delighted the whole menu was open all day. So I ordered a Patty Melt, tickled that I could get one for breakfast, along with fries with cheese on the side.

The picture shows my untouched burger with the top bread removed. The bread was barely grilled. The burger was sooooo puny and dry. Even the onions were dry. I didn't even get the Swiss cheese I'd ordered on it. I took the second half of the Patty and put it on the first to make it at least reasonable to eat with the heavy bread. So basically I had 1/2 a sandwich.

The fries were great, but the cheese sauce had an old dried "skin" on it, as shown. Couldn't they even have stirred the cheese before delivering it?

My partner ordered a hash brown skillet. All of the components, including the egg, were underneath the hash browns. Who even knows if the egg was cooked over easy, we think not because it was so runny, even under the potatoes. He was delivered what looked like a plate of hash browns.

We did not complain due to time constraints, and did not want a re-fire on the food. Service was otherwise pleasant, and we even got coffee to go. (Thank you! )

All of this still cost us $30 before tip.... in addition to our meal we had to pay county tax, local city tax, state tax, and a credit card use fee. Those are out of their control, and they make it VERY clear about the credit card fee before you enter. Best to bring cash here.

Anyways, loved the theme, service, and decor.... the food...eh, wouldn't go back for that.

But it is in a fun area with plenty of...

We love the diner and make a point to visit as a family every time we come. Today we were leaving and made this our last family stop and meal but however it didn't go as planned. Having a knee injury and in a brace made it a bit more difficult in and out and I normally would have been in a wheelchair. I've never been in this situation and haven't noticed the lack of accessibility for that. However when trying to figure out seating for our large family and with a newborn it was quite difficult. No high chairs other than in the booths and no chair or highchair at the end of the table. I completely understand there's not space for that but unfortunately our family couldn't all enjoy our usual meal together. My daughter had to leave with the baby. When asking for options it seems we didn't really have any and that was upsetting. We did finally ask if we could have a third booth and the server said yes and then her comments following came across very rudely and my daughter left. This is and has been a family tradition since my kids were little and this year was super disappointing for us. I don't normally leave reviews or negative ones, but it made me really think if I had my wheelchair as opposed to getting help getting in then I wouldn't have had access myself. The food was delicious as usual and the gentleman that was cleaning tables today was the sweetest and the most positive part of our...

The day we went to The Diner for lunch they were packed. We decided to eat at the counter, which ended up being a lot of fun. I usually pick to sit in a booth, but the retro vide made it easy to sit at the counter. We enjoyed watching the servers make the delicious milkshakes. I thought the poodle skirt uniforms were really cute. I also enjoyed playing the jukebox. For lunch we started out with the Crock O'Dill Spears with a side of Ranch. They were so good!! The breading was perfectly fried, so it gave a satisfying crunch when you bite into it (so good). For my main entree I had the Bacon Cheese Burger with a side of fries. I really enjoyed it. The patty was cooked perfect and they give the right amount of bacon to make the perfect bite. Jenni got the chicken tenders with fries. Since I had watched servers making milkshakes all through out my lunch I had to have one. They have several different flavors, but I chose the classic chocolate. It was perfect!! We shared it and both got plenty. If you are in Sevierville or in the area you need to go enjoy a meal at The Diner. Remember this is a Diner, so service style will be different from other sit down restaurants. Watching the hustling servers and enjoying the yummy diner fare was a great experience. You need to check them out!!

During a recent family vacation in Sevierville, Tennessee, we stumbled upon a gem of a diner that left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of hearty breakfasts, I was drawn to try their "Servier Scramble," and it did not disappoint. This delightful dish was a perfect blend of fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, golden hash browns, melted cheddar cheese, and just the right amount of onions to add a hint of sweetness. What set this diner apart, however, was not just the exceptional food but the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was outstanding, striking that perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our meal. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. The diner's ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for families. It was a pleasure to see my kids, aged 7 and 9, enjoying their meals and the environment as much as I did. It's not every day that you find a place that appeals to the whole family. If you find yourself in Sevierville and looking for a place to enjoy a delicious, homely breakfast, this diner is a must-visit. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that encapsulates the charm of Tennessee's hospitality.
