Oh my gosh, the staff here was very unfriendly and unwilling to assist. We got there about 35 minutes before store closing because we both work until late in the day. Maybe the girl working back in the aquarium section was having a bad day, I dunno. Anyway there was a guy in front of us who asked if he could get some live crickets and she said this section is already closed. He was like oh I didn't realize that sections would close before the store. She said well I've already mopped so it's closed. She had a chain up so no one could get into the section where the aquariums are, also where the crickets are. He had to lean way over the chain. She just stood there watching him struggle. Then she turns to us and looks at us like what do you want. Hubby says hey we need tiny feeder mice, little pinkies. She says "we don't have them" he says "you don't sell them?" She says no. He says "huh, that's weird it's on your website. Says this location has some in stock. That's why we drove 40 mins here. In fact it still says I can get them here. " She just stared at us. Then he asks "what do you feed your snakes here?" And points to one of the little snakes in the aquariums. She says "well we special order just enough food for the animals that we have here." Another female employee was standing nearby, watched it all happened, but just turned and left, she was running the register I think. So we left. The next morning it still said they were available in stock. He ordered some and picked them up curbside later that day. Only because we absolutely had to have some. Going forward we will drive an hour to Knoxville to get what we need. I'm not interested in supporting a store who has employees who are so cold and unwilling to help. It was more important for PetSmart employees to clean the store and close their store early than it was to make a sale and...

I went to the store and I told the attendant that I never owned a fish before and I was looking into getting one and wanted to know more. She was not at all pleasant, but I still went ahead and tried to shop. She told me that I needed a 10 gallon tank if i was getting a fish and I would need to have the tank running for 24 to 48 hours. I left and I got all that I needed and I had set my tank up. I went back and she told me that I needed to get my tank conditioned and wait before I could put the fish in. I told her that I had work the next day and said that I could squeeze some time in my schedule and stop by. I went back to the store today and I spoke with her again and was even smiling and she had the nastiest attitude ever and told me she will send someone to me. When the other lady came, she advised that I needed to wait at least 1 month before I could out the fish in the tank. Now I am fine with waiting even though she advised me incorrectly, but when I went to the first lady i said, ā she said i cant get it until a month ā her response to me was.

Every time Iāve been there she asks 100 āProtocolā questions, and tries extremely hard to talk me out of what I want, and came for! When a customer walks in to a pricey Pet Smart, they usually know what theyāre looking for and/or need/want. They donāt deserve to encounter an employee who thinks she knows everything, and gets a kick out of talking customers out of BUYING what they came for! She has previously sent my kids home in tears as well as a young boy who wanted a goldfish! Like NO! Breaking peopleās hearts is NOT OK with ME! Iāve disliked her since day one⦠SO DO NOT let her intimidate YOU! Interrupt her and say āThanks for the advice but Iāll be Buying this PET Anyway!ā Thatās what it took to get my Pleco I came in for and A Bala Shark! ⦠Yep she was going to immediately start to insinuate that Iām not a good home because my tank aināt big enough! I didnāt give her the pleasure or satisfaction. When she FINALLY came out after having to ask for someone, I said I want a pleco and that Bala Shark put it in the same bag please. Thatās when she started and I stopped her⦠Any home is better than a 3-5 gallon tank with 24 other plecos!! Especially when I have came in numerous times, to Quarantined tanks! Bummer ..
