UPDATE 10/11/2023: Decided to try this location one last time as I have been a patron here for years. Unfortunately it wasn’t any better. The restaurant wasn’t busy but we still waited a bit for initial service. Both my friend and I’s order was wrong and the wings were cold. They did fix and bring us out fresh wings. I sadly won’t be returning as the location has truly gone down hill. Even the sink in the women’s bathroom barely works and create a trickle of water making it difficult to effectively wash your hands. The owners were there and I don’t understand how they can sit and eat and drink when the establishment is clearly going down hill. I also overheard a group of ladies talking as I was entering about how their food was also wrong and cold. When they get the food right it’s good, however due to the inconsistencies I will be finding a new wing spot to eat at. Not worth it!

I have been coming to the Sidelines (Sewickley) location for YEARS and I must say the staff, service and food are always amazing! Even through the pandemic they shined!

Yesterday I was there for wing night (Wednesday 6/7) which is typically when I come. Our waitress was amazing as we have had her multiple times and she is the absolute best! However there was a female food runner with blonde hair that I’ve never seen and when she dropped off our first set of food, she quickly asked if everything looked ok. I noticed that my wings came out medium garlic rather than medium garlic parm which is what I ordered. This is no big deal as my request to the runner was going to be to simply ask for a side of parm.

However the minute I opened my mouth to ask for it she immediately cut me off and said “the rest is coming” in a loud manner. I attempted to tell her I understand and attempt to ask for a side of parm however I was continuously cut off by her and was never able to ask my question. I got to the point where I simply said “ok” to which she responded with an attitude and walked away.

This is extremely frustrating as she didn’t yield me any time to answer, her tone kept rising and by her simply listening I would have been able to ask for a side of parm. I have been a consistent, friendly and reliable customer so to be treated as such was extremely rude.

This is not a jab to the rest of the staff or establishment as all are amazing. However for that food runner to treat me as such it is apparent she has done it before which also leaves me a bad taste in my mouth in returning for awhile.

Unfortunate it had to happen and extremely disappointed in the way I was treated by...

I had the Honey BBQ wings with Lemon Pepper Fries. The wings were SUPER good. LOVED that sauce. Their ranch was so good, I took one of my cups home lol. It was the only "leftover" I had 😂

The fries were salty. So I actually didn't completely finish those. My sister & mom thought so too, so it wasn't just me. 6 wings & a basket of fries was $14 before tax. No charging I believe for extra sauces.

My sister really enjoyed her cheeseburger & my mom enjoyed her salad a lot as well! They were both nice & big portions!

It was a loud place. The kind of places where sound just bounces off the walls & comes right back to you. Perfect place to watch sports if you like it rowdy sounding lol.

It somehow felt very....community oriented. Sewickley is kinda small so there were athelets & their parents after a game, girlfriends coming together for a nice lunch, families with their grandparents & babies. It was a nice group!

Super friendly staff. TVs. Bar seating, a main eating room & then a dining area shared with the bar area. Clean bathrooms (singles). Aaannddd, I think that's it!

It was packed. But then cleared out all in the same 15-20min lol. Nobody wore masks. The tables didn't all seem to be 6ft apart. Some were pretty close to each other I think. But yeah, if that's for you then you're good! If it's not, ask for a table by the windows.

Enjoy! (And oh yeah, I think I heard these girls saying the Funnel Cake fries were really yummy lol). They...

The food here is delightful. My group occasionally makes the trek over for Wednesday night wing night. Their wings are fantastic! Aprx 15 flavors that are devine. My personal favorite is the hot garlic barbecue. They are the only other place I've had a well mixed sauce of this, next to a place at IUP that closed nearly a decade ago. There's something for everyone. If you like beer, they have a large selection on tap and bottled for all different acquired tastes. Next time in, I will try to get the rest of the menu, the app/data froze mid upload on me.

Great for sports fans with MANY big screen tvs around the restaurant and bar with various big sporting events on. I enjoyed the Brazil Olympics there recently and am looking forward to enjoying Penguins games there in the future.

Bonus points: a short walk from many Pokémon Go pokestops and gyms.

Only negative from me: service is usually slow (even on non-event nights). However, the wait is worth it even if you are a thirsty person like myself.

Atmosphere: A Food: A+ Menu/Selection: A Price: B+ (not too expensive, but not fast food prices. Overall they're wallet friendly) Service/Speed: B- (sometimes a ten minute wait just on a refill, or wings taking over a half an hour with a moderately uncrowded restaurant. Other times, refill before you finished your drink and food served rather swiftly) Staff's Attitude/Friendliness: A+

I would definitely recommend them to family...

This had to be top 3 worst restaurants I've been to in Pittsburgh. So coming in here on a slow Wednesday night we wait over 20min for a table. Why? Not even half the tables had a party at them. After waiting we all finally order I got Perogies and pretzel sticks. After waiting for about an hour which is this was during rush its to be expected to wait a while but it wasn't not even half the restaurant was full. The perogies were fried but were served cold and hard as rock. Absolutely revolting I tried to eat a few but not even sawing it with a steak knife would cut them up so I didn't want them struggling to digest in my body. The pretzel sticks were standard but had shredded Parmesan cheese on them. Odd choice but not the greatest combo. After barely eating my food, we guess what? Waited to get a check for another 20min. No one at our table was remotely satisfied. Both service and product were very sub standard. Can't really say I have a reason to go back here. Don't bother coming here.

The condition of the location is pretty rough. The bathroom was unsightly and clearly had been for a long while, as you can see from the curling sign that says something about the handle (didn’t want to touch it). And definitely don’t look up! The food was okay, service was also just okay. Very confusing as to who was bartending. I think one of the bartenders was hanging out after hours and talking about drama in her life loud enough for the whole bar to hear. She kept going back and forth between being behind the bar and sitting along it. I’d much rather go to the Millvale location. Better screen setups for watching games, better service, and definitely better facilities. This location’s food was the only saving grace in this review because it was overall a pretty unpleasant environment.

This place was ok. We stopped in after work for a company happy hour, there was no one dining in the entire place and it was a group of 8 of us. The staff must have changed over in the middle of us being there, i think they forgot us. We all had one maybe two drinks then we left. The staff was not as attentive as we would have liked, they sat us far away and then stayed at the bar and they didn’t recommend anything for happy hour or stop by more than twice. We didn’t eat, so I can’t say anything about the food. The drink prices and beer selection were good, even though the draft list was outdated and they didn’t have two of the options I selected.
