Haroula's Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Seymour

Have been by this place for years and I finally stopped and I regret not stopping before! I loved this place. I prefer small mom & pop places where the food is made with TLC and Haroula's is it! The place has been around for many years and it shows in Gus' love for his shop! Gus has a great sense of humor and will tell you he works 8 days a week. His wife, Haroula and him run it and they obviously love what they do and it shows! The place is very clean and I had the best cheeseburger club I have ever had! When we were done he danced over humming with the tray of pies and we got to talk about the weather, Bridgeport history, and technology! He really was an inspiration! I always hear that mom and pop shop were taken over by chains. Sadly, many have but there are still quite a few! Please, support these smaller places! Good food, fairly priced. I had a gyro omelette with feta cheese and tomato; my wife had a cheese omelette (I think) and enjoyed it as much as I did mine. Konstantine was a gracious and funny host, telling us stories about the town, the restaurant, and his family, and showing us old photos of his family and the restaurant, as well as a book of photos of Greece.
