🆘️WTH; After NUMEROUS recommendations before moving to the area, I stopped in this afternoon; despite it NOT being a workday, a full complement of seemingly enthusiastic staff appeared. Announcing I'd never been before, a female staffer quickly but respectfully thanked me for coming in, then informed me ALL menu items (assuming exceptions for salad items) would be hot & ready in minutes... 🤦‍♀️...and after waiting inside with music so loud I could barely hear my number being called - and I was in one of the closest seats - not only was my order NOT EVEN WARM by touch to the box, EVERYTHING was of such poor quality I feel like I SHOULD COMPENSATE ALL who recommended this place, by cooking FOR THEM (I've a MN Cottage Food Producer Certification, hence I KNOW the importance of food temperatures AT VERY LEAST). 🐟I'd ordered the Albacore Tuna Ciabatta; if it had been seasoned, I could taste nothing more than lemon. The lettuce it was placed upon was visually pleasing, but limp and dragged the tuna out from between the Ciabatta slices, landing in a mess in the hand that tried to catch it. There was no taste to the tomato slice, and as the image shows, the Ciabatta was NOT HOT, warm or ANYTHING resembling crispy. Ultimately, it was hard to hold, hard to bite properly and had so little tuna present it WAS IN NO WAY meeting the definition of main ingredient. 🍴While the pasta salad was a bit more flavorful, the pasta itself was overcooked & soggy. The Parmesan Crisp I ordered was NOT hot either, better resembling a Terra cotta shingle than an edible. 🛑IN SUMMATION, I'm TERRIFIED to hear from these folks OR even submit this review. 💔A review of those I've written WILL ABSOLUTELY SHOW I've NEVER written a more detailed OR MORE DAMNING one.🤦‍♀️I love Italian food, deli style bistros...but I just spent roughly $16.00 for product I can't even alter a but, once home.🙇‍♀️ 💰This was SUPPOSED to be a TREAT for me; now I wonder if I'm the victim of a cruel joke.

I usually don’t go out of my way to eat at sandwich shops, but this was quite good. The star of the sandwich was the focaccia, which was both very soft and had a strong, herbal and olive oil taste. The quality of the rest of the was very good, and everything came together very well. The soup is also very interesting. It had a very creamy flavor, though I found it a little bit undersalted. Then again, this is no issue because I just added a little bit of salt myself. The staff were also very friendly, and made for a good dining experience. For both the full sandwich and the soup, the cost came to around $18 (incl. tax). Luckily though, you can get a half sandwich for exactly half the price of a full sandwich, which is a practice I wish more shops did. For most people, a full sandwich or a half sandwich and a cup of soup will be a filling lunch. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. I’ll be looking forward to trying this place out again in the future.

The menu has variety and is very interesting. In fact that is what drew us in. So I was not expecting a smallish space in a strip mall, but that is not their fault. So managing my expectations here, I would like to point out that the demographic for their choice (and volume) of music was more for the employees than anyone who was actually eating at the tables during dinner on a Monday. The food I ordered was such a great idea, but the wild rice and chicken soup was not made on site and had possibly been on the hob too long(?). The club sandwich on a bagel was very good, the aoli was perhaps jarred (and not as good). Overall, nice enough place with a good varied menu. A bit difficult to carry on a conversation beneath the driving music though. Atmosphere is important. Maybe some would love it.

Tonight was my second trip to Zuppa Cucina in a row. I'm in Shakopee on business, and I'm sorry I didn't discover this amazing sandwich shop on my first night because I plan on coming back a third time tomorrow.

My first experience was yesterday. I entered a small, clean lobby with employees and guests abiding by CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19. The cashier was bubbly and greeted me immediately, giving me time to look over the menu. She conversed with my about my choice (the Smoked Turkey Foccacia) by explaining it was the best choice for a first time guest and that I'd like it. While I waited for my food she answered other menu questions and suggested that if I come back I try the Pork Loin sandwich; another team member chimed in to say that was her favorite as well.

When I got back to my hotel my sabdwich and tomato soup were still hot. They were great portions for the price as well, and tasted as stellar as they looked!

I came back today to get the Pork tenderloin sandwich and potato soup. The same employees recognized me and I felt genuinely welcomed! This sandwich and soup combo was even better than my first choice, and I left the restaurant with another recommendation; try the roast beef foccacia. I'll be back tomorrow for it, and my only disappointment is that it will be my last trip to this adorable, affordable, and high quality sandwich shop for the foreseeable future.

But I'm really looking forward to...

11/11/16 Very dissapointing experience today. Came in to have lunch as we always do but brought my daughter with us this time and we were treated horribly. I'm a business owner and customer service is everything, I don't care how busy you are.

Update: 12/10/16 Wow! I came in to talk to the owner hoping to positively rectify the terrible customer service we received on our last visit. I was really wanting to give this restaurant a 2nd chance but now I see where the terrible customer service stems from.

Unbeknownst to me, Chris is the owner and was apart of the terrible service that we received last time. Chris was the one who was rude and hostile to my youngest daughter.

His reply in an arrogant tone was "They were busy, he is the owner so he can't fire himself hahaha and I should get over it"

I sure hope that he does NOT treat his employees like he treats his customer's because without good customers and loyal employees he will not last long.

Besides all this, this resturant offers a nice selection of tasty gluten-free food for allergy sufferers and there are some...
